    So... I just spent the past hour trying to get a Baltoy... because the only way you can get it is by a Pokemon calling for help in a desert... except it has a low chance of calling a Baltoy compared to calling the same kind of Pokemon . Guess what? Baltoy immediately self destructed as soon as I make the other Pokemon (a dugtrio) faint. I'm dead inside. That is so ridiculously stupid

      True. Well if you had a pokemon like psyduck or Quagsire with a damp ability it would prevent the use of said self-destruction moves.

      I think the Psyduck I have has cloud nine or whatever that's called. I had a Poliwag that had damp but it's at level 12 or something and the Baltoy was around level 33. And I didn't want it to get killed off by the other Pokemon before I could get rid of it. Either way. I got a Baltoy on the third attempt. Even after it called 2 friends before I could try and catch it giving it time to self destruct :P
