Absolutely agreed on Carrey looking like Eggman THE WHOLE MOVIE. Seems we won't get that, sadly. (And apparently we won't get a really good movie, either...)

Yeah, I've never thought about it... but aside the meme, I don't remember him explicitly saying that exact line.  BTW, the last frame... I honestly like how Jim Carrey looks as "full Eggman".

"Because that would mean you're not only the youngest, but also the most efficient I've seen in a while!" he added, smiling to the orange fox.  ____________________________________________________ -Tekno the Canary, Casino Night Zone. "Old... man... are you okay?" Tekno asked, once the pod was cracked.  "Oh..." the owl inside the machine was confused, and exhausted. "I... I've been better, young lady..."  Relieved, the jade fowl girl reached to the owl's hand, and got him out of the pile of metal that seconds ago stood as his prison. "Thanks, miss. Hope you find your logs." "I wasn't looking for l-- ugh, forget it... I'm not the only one you have to thank for. This peopl--" Tekno stopped talking when she witnessed how the few inhabitants who hadn't fled were fighting against the horde of badniks. "Oh, my... this... what the heck is going on?!" 

I am terrified by that face. I won't sleep tonight. I swear. 

I do have. Actually, I coloured this pic using the tablet. Lineart is traditional tho. I just can't draw a single line using a tablet...

Yea, of course! Props to both of you!  Is there a way to see more work of this artist? Because I love that style, like I said, it's SO clean and the colours flow sooooo well... It looks great, outstanding, amazing, you get it... The tumblr account you posted apparently belongs to an website/app designer, not a comic artist, so... is it the same person?

I shall not let your brave efforts to resurrect this thread be in vain, my fellow companions! *AHEM* Well, here it's been... cold? I mean, not as cold as other winters, but, you know... Also, in Spain winter season isn't nearly as cold as in other places...  And then Christmas came, and, well, same as other years... I dunno, pretty standard winter, I'd say.

We all remember the classic Sonic OVA, don't we? For those who don't (or need a little reminder) in that animation an old owl was shown to be Sonic and Tails' parental figure (or at least that's what it looked like to me). I've taken that very same character and tried to redesign him, so he could fit more into the canon: 

Looooong time since Shinomi uploaded something here, so here I come, to give new life to this thread. Once again I have re-created a fan-charecter from other user, this time a @Skye Prower's creation, that, funnily enough is a reinvention of another creature... And yes, it is most likely that you don't remember her... but I drawn her a while ago, and found the picture without colour in my computer files, so I decided she deserved some coloring... and she had to be here, of course!

I've read until issue 14, and so far, things are fine. Artwork is impressive (and probably the main reason I'm reading the comic): clean linework, nice soft coloring. Story-wise, the comic is nice. I think Ian Flynn is veeeery slowly building up this narrative -maybe too slowly for my taste-. Interactions between characters are still on point and present very nice dialogues (I specially love the bromance? between Sonic and Amy), where the artists can show fun expressions from the characters.

My brain is trying to assimilate that this film will be real.  So far, the only thing that has very slightly convinced me from these leaked content is part of the concept art... but, in my opinion, it is far from the best way Sonic could be redesign. Is in moments like this when I wonder why is this movie even being made...

Oh. My. Gosh. I love it. The art is so pleasant, so clean... And watching one of your scripts (specially this one that I read time ago!) come to life in such gorgeous manner is awesome. Congratulations, Skye!

-Sonic the Hedgehog, unknown island "Pheeeeww, good to see someone here..." the hedgehog said relieved "and yep, I bet you could help me with what's going outsi--"  The cobalt spiked runner stopped talking after noticing the young age of the yellow double-tailed fox he was talking with. "Wait... are you all alone here? This doesn't look the kind of place a kid should wander around..." he asserted before looking at the aircraft's engine. "...unless you're some sort of mechanic, I guess." _______________________________________________ -Tekno the Canary, Casino Night Zone  With all the chaos around her, and everyone involved in the fight against the machines, Tekno didn't know what to do. She felt guilty for the sudden capture of the old owl, but still, she felt that nothing could be done in a situation like that... Unless... she made use of the project she was working on. The reason she was so desperately looking for that stupid frog, the only test subject that seemed to not have faced any side effects from the serum. The same serum she always had a dose in her ring-like earrings. The very same serum she didn't want to use. Tekno took off one of her earrings, and pulled off a tiny tube from it. She opened it, and drank a single drop of the fluid. "This... this is more than enough. I'm going to regret this..." the emerald canary thought, and put her earring back.  Due to the extreme pressure Tekno felt, her heartbeat increased drastically when glanced at the prison pod once again. After feeling dizzy for a few seconds, when the entire place seemed to become illogically silent to her, Tekno talked to Vector and Chief Hoppington: "G-gentlemen... p-please, hold those... mechanic... things... a--aside...I'll take care... of the... rest" she slowly said with difficulty. Once Tekno fully recovered her senses, she felt different: a sudden pain crawled through every muscle of her body while the white of her eyes slightly darkened and the sapphire tone of the irises shifted to a purplish one. Then, without a second thought, the young canary charged to the pod, screaming, like an untamed beast eager to devour its prey.    

-Tekno the Canary, Casino Night Zone The jade canary started punching the pod uselessly. "No... c'mon, this... this can't be happening..." But her frustration would only increase once she rose her eyes and saw the titanic flying fortress over the zone. Inmediately, she saw the robots and pods all over the city. With a face that couldn't hide her dread, Tekno replied to Charmy "It did, kid... this place definately got darker." ________________________________________________________________________________ -Sonic the Hedgehog, Unknown Island "I have to get up there... but how?" the hedgehog wondered, still glancing at the airships. "Well, standing still in the middle of the beach will serve for nothing!" And once again he bursted into the center of the island. Not even getting close to sound speed, he noticed the airfield. "Huh... how convenient." After the sound of several more explosions piercing through the heavens, the blue hedgehog noticed one of the aircrafts falling, severely damaged. "That seems preeeeetty bad...Gonna need help if that thing has passengers. I might not be able to save them all..." he thought. The azure creature run to the airbase, without even caring about more than clear carelessness state of the base."HELLOOOOOOO! SOMEBODY HEEEEERE?? I need a hand... well, several hands could come in handy!" He yelled. "*cough* No time for puns, idiot!" he said to himself, before resuming his search for aid.   (I'm back! Yaaay?)

I have no idea what Homestruck even is but I love the design of the hoodie girl (that I assume is you?) Also, the dream sequence reminds me of a character I created some time ago, specially the glass-eyes thingy. Well, actually, that might the only thing your and my character have in common...

Oh my gosh... this is going to be a beautiful madness...  WHAT HAVE YOU DONE, GEOFF??

-Tekno the Canary, Casino Night Zone The green canary looked at the pod, trying to locate the frog she was desperately looking for. Next to her, the old owl that she talk to before resumed their conversation among the crowd: "Soooo... are the logs you were looking for inside that thing?" he asked, pointing at the capsule. "A young girl like you will need some help to lift that thing, but don't you worry, I'll help you!"  "You don't listen to anyone, don't you? I toldya I'm not looking for logs, you old man!" Tekno anwered, grabbing the owl by the sleeve of his blue coat. "And don't even thing of getting close to that machine, or else!" If the test subject was there, nobody should notice, not even an elderly bird who didn't seem to hear properly, and much less any of the curious civilians around her. Besides, whatever that piece of metal was, risking the physical integrity of such an elderly man was something Tekno wouldn't allow. "Yes, we have to get closer to it and take those wooden logs out!" the owl exclaimed, getting away from Tekno. Clearly age has deteriorated the owl's hearing. "Damn it... No! I've said that--" Tekno vainly said, as the owl touched the cointainment pod. The machine inmediatelly opened, a pair of arms grabbed the owl, and trapped him inside. "W-what the h-- HEY! Oh, no, no, no..." the canary couldn't contain her surprise and panic. As some people screamed in fear, others ran away from the now dangerous apparatus.  "H-hey, old man! Are you there?!" Tekno asked. "This... this is my fault... I... I have to fix this... I have to save this guy!"  ____________________________________________________________________ -Sonic the Hedgehog, Acorn Archipelago After having examined the whole island and making sure there were no more pods or robots, the blue blur stopped his run in the shore. He needed to check out other islands, so that no more machines could harm the place or the animals in the area. but the large mass of water in front of him would not allow the hedgehog to get to the other islands easily. Nevertheless, that wouldn't prevent him from trying. "Alright, hope this works better than the last time..." The spiked azure creature charged into the water... and soon, with his shoes touching the water for barely nanoseconds in each step, he would find himself running over the sea. Underwater, the fish banks nearby distanced from the line the hedgehog was drawing with his resumed run. "Yes... YES! IT WORKS!! Whoooo-hooooo!! Now I have to keep it up..." he nervously said out loud. He knew that slowing down the pace, even just a milisecond, could make him end up alongside the fish... with the disability of not knowing how to swim.  "Keep..." said when he saw the coast line of the closest island. "..it..." his own voice motivated him to maintain the insane pace his feet were moving at. "...UP!!" finally exclaimed once he got to the beach of this apparently new and unexplored shore. "Ohhh, dear sand, I love you!" he yelled before kneeling and kissing the sand. He inmediatelly regreted this silly act of relief "Arghhh, *cough* that was NOT *cough a good idea... bleargggh..." Then he took a breath, and saw two colossal aircrafts in battle, as they seemed to make the sky tremble. "That's... new."
