      And... a character aging in a video game can drastically affect the game itself. Pffft. Just look at the Soul Series, almost all the characters from 1-4 were replaced by the time Soul Calibur 5 rolls around. While it had great gameplay, older fans of the game criticized it for its new characters and the lack of some of its veteran characters.
