Well, personally I don't think I am a good marksman, as I've never actually fired a gun before.

That said, I think it means more that as I feel like would in a world filled with this level of sheer despair. Or rather that I "fear that I would" ...And that's no lie, I certainly WOULD fear losing it in that kind of world. Doesn't mean I would though.
