  1. Sonic and Tails age in Archie Comic (post-Super Genesis wave)

While the series will have its own stories, there are still going to be many connections to the games, whether we like it or not. (I'm personally fine with this.) As for Tails' age, I don't recall them ever bringing it up in the reboot yet, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. That being said, of course each character will develop & grow as time passes, but I don't expect any major changes in age. As for being treated like a child (and by extension, the 'artists' remark) ...since when has that happened recently?
  2. Oh, I forgot to say: the interview went well. As long as I get my English grade, I should have a space on the course.

Cool. Well done with the interview. I'll keep my fingers crossed you get it.

Good luck with that. Hope you make it in

  3. Sonic Universe (Comic Series)

I just realised something: the cover refers to Chip by that name, but it was Sonic who came up with the name in Unleashed. Granted, that is the name that most fans know him by (and saying his real name is a major spoiler for Unleashed), but it does make me wonder... I'm probably thinking too hard again. We'll see what happens.
  4. Mega Man (Comic Series)

I recall learning that, during Mega Man 9's production, Hornet Man and Splash Woman were supposed to be opposite genders from what we know them as now. Sometime later in development, they were switched, resulting in the Hornet Man and Splash Woman we know nowadays. I'm still not sure why it was changed, though...
  5. Sonic Universe (Comic Series)

Hey guys! Here are the covers for the upcoming Universe Issue #65 - The Great Chaos Caper, Part 3 (spoilered due to a new-ish character reveal): I'm not normally a fan of the SEGA variants, but I think this one looks... okay. On the other hand, it looks like Unleashed's plot-device is gonna debut in the comic soon!
  6. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

It's that time again! Here are the covers and solicitations for the upcoming Issue #262: ...I want that variant. I will do everything in my power to get that variant! What are your thoughts, guys?
  7. Tomorrow I've got my first college interview for next year. Should go well...

  8. Sonic Boom (Cartoon)

I get more of a 'Vanilla the Rabbit' vibe from it, but there has been a bit of a debate about who it might be. But then again, it could be neither, just another 'inspiration'.
  9. Sonic Boom (Cartoon)

I think they're mostly referring to this article: http://www.sonicstad...t-art-surfaces/ More specifically, two character images are reminiscent of previous Sonic characters. I'll let you guess which ones: (spoilered due to size) Interestingly enough, the two (or three) characters that everyone has noticed were only really one-time characters in the main series. Although, looking at 'Emerl'... I highly doubt that it's actually him. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised at all if it's just another Eggman robot, and the creators were just 'inspired by' Emerl. But who knows?
  10. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

So, my thoughts on Issue #258... Meh. It's nothing to write home about, and while it had some interesting moments, I felt that it was kinda repetitive. E-106 Eta has a cool design... but that's about it. Professor Pickle is his usual chef-criticising, cucumber-sandwich-centric self. But when the whole issue can be summed up as "Nope, not in this container." it just doesn't work for me. I'm interested in seeing how Part Two will play out, since it's bound to be more than just 'Sonic vs. Eta: Round 1'. Oh, and the alternate endings begin next issue! (...Huzzah, I guess?) [media=]
  11. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

Looks interesting indeed. (I like the look of E-106 Eta especially.) Looking forward to this issue's release.
  12. "After The Credits" - A New Archie Gimmick?

If it's any help, I can always try to find the alternate endings (from the variant covers) and post them here and/or on the STH, Universe & MM topics when they're released. That way, the uploader(s) can continue to upload the standard versions (with the standard ending) as usual, but you can still see the alternate endings. How does that sound to you guys?
  13. "After The Credits" - A New Archie Gimmick?

I know it's not Ian's fault, or even his decision. But you are right, it isn't fair for Ian to be getting all the blame for this. Though I think people have calmed down now.
  14. "After The Credits" - A New Archie Gimmick?

Huh, I've just noticed something about the ad image. Look closely at STH #259's variant cover (spoilered due to size): Looks like they've replaced the Sonic 2006 Radical Train with the one in Bullet Station from Sonic Heroes. I'm fine with that, and I think it actually looks better now.
  15. Ken Penders Topic...

Unfortunately, I highly doubt that. Unless you mean the video game echidnas (Tikal, Pachacamac etc.), there won't be any kind of reference to previous echidnas.
  16. Just finished watching Disney's 'Frozen'. A very good film, all things considered.

I wanna see it too, I have to download it via torrent, since indians are not very excited about it...

    3. The_Duck

      The_Duck

I absolutely LOVED it! It had almost too many songs for my taste, but most of them were really great, so I can forgive that. I've just always loved winter, so one of the main appeals for me was actually the animation of the snow, especially in the "Let it Go" scene. That castle is amazing!!

  17. Archie Comics and Ken Penders' Characters

Okay, that's three topics now that I've seen this. Forgive me if I don't have any business here, but can the moderators do something about this? I mean it's one thing to give an opinion, but I find this to be taking it too far. Especially when it's being posted multiple times and places all at once!
  18. Mega Man (Comic Series)

Looks like it's supposed to say 'Spring'-something, which makes me think that they're just the covers and solicitations being prepared for this Spring. The only one that sticks out from the rest is the SU arc, which looks like it'll be called 'Total Eclipse'. (Hmm...) Also, I highly doubt that the Mega Man 3 arc will be 10 issues long as: 1) that would make it the longest/second-longest arc in the series. (The latter if you count 'Worlds Collide') 2) that would mean the future game adaptations would also likely be as long, if not longer, which really doesn't sound good. My guess is that there'll be 2 issues post-MMX Crossover (likely covering Gamma's creation), then the main 4-issue MM3 arc, then an original storyline.
  19. Sonic Boom (Cartoon)

That behind-the-scenes definately got me even more intrigued. I'm certainly pleased with Travis Willingham's new Knux voice. Sounds closer to Scott Drier from SA2/Heroes. Mike Pollock as Eggman and Roger as Sonic are the same as ever. 'Tis a shame that Kate Higgins won't be returning as Tails, but at least Colleen Villard (who currently voices Charmy Bee in the main series) doesn't sound that bad. And then there's Amy... just, ugh. Even though they're trying to make her a more useful character, I just can't deal with Cindy Robinson's 'Minnie Mouse' voice any longer! *sigh* Oh well, you can't win 'em all, I guess. As for the video game, I really don't have much to say on it outside of what I've said before. I'm still cautiously optimistic for both the game and TV series, so we'll just see what happens later this year.
  20. I'd say that there's no real point to going straight from the present to the future, unless you really just want to get an early look at the bad futures.
  21. Mega Man (Comic Series)

Eh, perhaps it's due to all of his fortresses being loaded with death traps, but who knows? (And yet it's Dr.Cossack who creates Skull Man later on...)
  22. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

It used to be Robotnik, but for all intensive purposes it's now (and always will be) Eggman. Also, if you're wondering which game stories have happened (and thus, won't get any adaptations now), basically every game except for Unleashed, Lost World (the most recent game) and Sonic Chronicles, but that last one is for... other reasons.
  23. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

I always thought it was more that they hate the prequels (though I enjoyed Episode III enough), and praise the originals (namely Episode V). But on the topic of Sonic, I'm on a reletively similar boat to you, Joe; I started reading quite a ways into the comic (roughly Issue #220) so I'm not as attached to some characters as others. However, the reboot has sadly affected a lot of readers, but thankfully many of them (and I'm sure everyone here) have taken it well, so it's not all bad news. Anyway, welcome to the world of Archie's Sonic The Hedgehog, Joe. Enjoy your stay here, as we're headed straight towards a loose adaptation of Sonic Unleashed.
  24. Sonic Universe (Comic Series)

  25. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

Oh hey, thanks for that Dylan. I'd been meaning to get around to posting the solicits and covers (and the Universe ones, thanks for that too), but personal matters got in the way. Anyway, I'm interested to learn about the new characters, as I don't think we've seen many aquatic Mobians before (unless you count Akhlut's pod).
