Stacey grinned with a 'c'mwon!', taking Mark's hand and running towards the broken wall. "We better hurry and follow before he get's into trouble," said Ziona, running towards the smoke cloud.

Ziona took in the destruction, letting go of the kids.  "This is our best chance!  Lets go now," she called, turning to Zangoose.  "And yes, a bit more warning before you unleashed your Ultimate Weapon, thank you!" Stacey paused for a moment, looking at Mark.  "Dwon' bwe scwawed!  We cwan dwo iwt!" he insited.

Ziona ducked down, trying to pull some of the kids behind cover as she did so.  "I guess... that worked?" she muttered, peeking out.

Pokemon Research Centre – Scabbard Town   “Good work Zeke,” replied Pine, placing his cup of tea down on the desk as he bent down to pick up the Lillipup, followed by the checklist from Zeke.  He sat down, stroking the small Pokémon on his lap as his eyes scanned the list.   “Another delay delivering the rejuvenation drive,” sighed the Professor.  “A shame, I’m dying to know what that strange fossil is from,” replied Pine taking a sip of tea.  He glanced out the large window.   “Big crowed” he muttered to himself as he inspected the group outside.  “Always is on these days.  Family and friends cheering the new trainers on, local press making a fuss, plus the usual gawkers.  Though it is odd to see the crowd arrive BEFORE any of the trainers.”   -------------   Outside Research Centre – Scabbard Town   Kimi and Amber were weaving their way through the crowd.  Kimi moved stylishly with confidence on her skates, managing to find a path through.  Amber on the other hand moved much more slowly, tired out, perspiring a little and red faced from running after her sister.  After a few ‘excuse me’s she made her way though, seeing the large garden on front on the centre, several paved paths running through it, and Kimi standing in the middle waiting for her.   “You’ve gotta move faster Sis if we’re gonna travel together.  Maybe you should get a pair of skates too?” she laughed, know her sister would never do so.   Amber was too short of breath to reply, instead she just glared.  Kimi ignored the glare.  “C’mon, let’s get inside.”  She turned and skated towards the doors.   “Wait!” called Amber, running forward to try and catch up. 

Wow!  That's really good!  I've no idea about Japanese though!

"Can someone make an opening we can use?" called Ziona.

The line of robots buckled under the sustained charge.   "Quickly, we need to get inside before they manage to alert Eggman of the attack," called Ziona.

Stacey reached the robot's lines, quickly slicing one in half with his blade.  "Mawk!  C'mwon!" he called, glancing back.  Meanwhile Ziona flipped over the top of one, causing it to miss, blasting one of the other machines.

Stacey gave a cry and charged towards the advancing robots. "WAIT!" called Ziona, hurrying after him.

"You're going to get your chance.." said Ziona, talking a ready pose as some robots approached.  Grinning, Stacey drew his sword, concentrating for a moment as the blade started to glow hot.

"We'vwe gwotta gwo!" Stacey insisted, heading over to the open door hatch. "I guess you're used to some hard knocks," Ziona commented to Zangoose.

The forum has now been reconstructed.  For those looking, Party games are now in Misc, all Art and other creative endeavours are in the Creative Corner, and art has it's own section now.  And there is now a dedicated Role Playing section with some new games.

Hello!  And welcome to Free Play.  Free Play is a Sonic RP that anyone can join, set in the Pre-Reboot world of the Archie comics.  It is a lighter RP than those in the main Role Play Section, but a bit more formal than the Light RP Section.  Players are free to create their own storylines and plots.   The World The RP is set in the Pre-Reboot era.  In order to start with a blank slate, the major hanging plot threads will be resolved.  Which means Sally is no longer a killer Robot, and Naugus is no longer in charge of New Mobotropolis.  Exactly how both these occurred will be left vague for now.  Should these facts need to be explained, they will be then.     Joining So how to join?  There’s two stages.  First off, post here with which characters you wish to play.  You can have up to three characters, which can either be existing characters in the Archie Pre-Reboot era, other existing Sonic characters, or your own Original Characters.  Obviously, you can’t take the same character as someone else.  Original Characters should be around the same power level as regular Sonic characters.  No overpowered characters.  For original characters, or non-Pre-reboot Sonic characters, they will need to have a profile filled out.  Non-Pre-reboot characters should be altered so then can fit into the Archie world.  A blank profile is below.  Your profile has to be on SCANF, either in this topic, or in the Character Chest section.   Second, make a post for one of your characters in the Introduction Post section.  All the rules for doing so are there, make sure to read them closely.   Once you’ve done that, we’ll PM you to let you know if you’re in.  If we haven’t gotten back in touch within 24 hours, feel free to bug us about it!  Once you’ve been accepted, you can then post in the game.   Rules for the Game All the standard Forum and RP rules apply to Free Play.  As mentioned, you can create your own storylines and plots for this games.  However, please make sure these plots don’t mess up anyone else's. If you’re unsure, you can ask in this topic.  Keep one thing in mind, if your plots need a specific villain such as say Dr Eggman, you will either need to have that character under your control, or ask the person running the character if it’s alright for them to work with your plot.   In addition, Free Play is a fast paced RP.  Posts don’t need to be super long.  Just a few sentences could do.  But please try to have proper spelling and grammar.  While the posting order should follow that each player waits for the others before posting again, if there are no posts within 2 days, anyone is free to post again.  Gotta go fast!   On a similar note, if you leave the game, you are free to rejoin at anytime without needing to make another Introduction Post.  However, if you leave for two months, any existing characters you control are freed up for others to choose. Of course, original characters remain in your control.     If you leave in the middle of a plotline that you are either controlling or key too, the other players can change that plot in order to keep the game running, so please keep that in mind.   Alright, that should be all the rules.  Have fun everyone.  Character lists and profiles are below.   Wait!  Where’s the game? As you have seen, right now, there is just the Welcome and Introduction sections up at the moment.  There’s a couple of reasons for this.  First is the obvious, it makes sense to have a couple of confirmed players before starting the game proper.   The second reason, if depending on what characters players chose, and what plots they come up with, will change where and how the game starts.  In this game, the plots are in the players hands just as much as mine, so if someone has an idea for a plot to open with, we can begin with that.   Blank Profile Sheet Claimed Character List Skye Prower: Skye Crystal (OC) -------------   My character’s Profile can be found here! 

Here’s where you make an Introduction post with a fixed scenario.  It doesn't need to be excessively long, but unlike the normal game, it can’t be just a couple of sentences.  At least a couple of paragraphs.  Spelling and grammar need to be correct, or the most part.  Small mistakes are okay.   You don’t need to make a post for each of your characters, just for one of your choice.   Taking a cue from the old Free-Play game, the scenario is the immediate aftermath of a battle with Metal Sonic for possession of a Chaos Emerald in an old ruined temple, in which your character has come off worst.  In this instance, there are no reinforcements that can arrive to stop him, and your own character is too injured and weakened to be able to defeat Metal Sonic, regardless of what abilities they have.  If you try and attack again, there is a good chance you could die without stopping him.  So the question is, how does your character react?   ------------   Skye Crystal     Skye slumped against the wall, her breathing fast and ragged.  There was a light, almost tingling sound as shards of broken Power Crystal fell to the floor from her damaged gauntlet.  The sound was drawn out by the noise of mechanical gears, and the clink of metal on stone as Metal Sonic strode over.  His glowing red eyes surveyed the fox for a moment, before dismissing her and picking up the Chaos Emerald where it lay on the floor between them.  With it in his grasp, he turned to walk away.   “N-no..” Skye groaned.  “I have to stop you.  Heroes always win.”  She tried to step forward towards Metal.  The robot’s head snapped round, and with a rush of air, his jet activated and he shot towards Skye, grabbing her by the throat and slamming her back into the wall.     All the breath was knocked out of the girl, and judging by the pain, it felt like there might have been more damage than just being winded.  Metal opened his hand, letting Skye drop roughly to the floor, the fox gasping desperately to fill up her lungs.  The robot turned away again, not considering Skye worth the effort of killing.  Skye watched as Metal left the temple, before her vision faded as she passed out from the pain.
