"I... I hope so... I'm sure they will," said Miles, but there was a slight hint of desperation in his voice.

--------------

"No problem. We better find somewhere to dump this stuff before the party."

"At any rate I couldn't bring myaelf to leave you. I.... Miles, come away from the door," said Zamy as she noticed something out of the corner of her eye in the lobby and swiftly shut the door.

"Did you see it Shadow?"

"I caught a glimpse of it."

-----

"Hmm, I see a hotel called the 'Crown Plaza'. Fancy staying there?"

Miles gulped and hurried into the room, spinning round. "What was it?" he asked, trying not to sound scared.

------------

"Let's try it!" said Melody. "If nothing else we can take a rest from carrying this for a while.... or" her voice dropped to a whisper. "You could try that strength spell I taught you."

"I think I've got an idea, but I thought we got rid of it," said Zamy, casting her mind back.

----

"Let's try that inside the hotel. My hands are a little full right now."

"We faced it before?" asked Miles, scared.

--------------

"Yeah, it'll draw less attention too!" said Melody

"No, we haven't. I have. Well, not really faced. I threw the match and yanked my old partner out of the house before it reached him, but I guess the plan failed."

----

"Exactly." They reached the lobby and Hope got them a 2 bed room.

"A vengeful spirit we wncountered while helping someone out in a house. They managed to get out with us, but I guess the spirit really hates us."

----

After holding herself back for a bit Sarah came over

"I don't know," said Stacey, so worried he didn't quite process it was Sarah who had asked.

"We can get him to the medi-bay," said Skye.

"We can't, not with what we have here at least. I think I remember the local religious tradition was that you could put a symbol on your door to keep them out. Or put it on the forehead to vanquish the spirit, but I don't even know if they made the talismans, not that many people believed in that part of it. I guess I'll have to try though."

----

"Yeah, I could get used to this."

"It's okay, I'll get him," said Skye, picking the Lynx up.

Stacey turned to look at Sarah. "Uh... thanks... for offering," he said, a little surprised.

----------------

"We don't have much of a choice!" said Miles.

--------------

"Yeah," said Melody looking around the room. "Maybe we could make a week of it!"

Sarah gave a smile

"You're very wel...come..." she began, still quiet, but paused. Then she scowled. "But I'm not making a habit of it!"

She then turned away again

Skye rolled his eyes and sighed. "You can take the lynx out of the Raiju...." he muttered to himself as he walked out of the library.

"No need to be like that Sarah!" sighed Stacey

"Exactly. I'll go, it'll be quicker. Shadow, keep Miles safe, and don't try and fight it off. Beyond a shove away it'll overpower you and you'll die of fright. Or it'll bludgeon you to death if the former doesn't work."

----

"I'm not sure I have enough money to afford a week," laughed Hope.

"You should," sighed Stacey. He turned and followed Skye.

--------------

"Yeah... I wasn't expecting her to drop the sword like that... She seems to have lost her fighting skills too," said Zoe.

--------------

"Will fire scare it off?" asked Miles.

-------------

"Darn! How long could we stay?" she asked.

Sarah half turned to watch Stacey go. She was now crying

----------

"Yeah. I guess so. But she looks like a peasant now and peasants aren't taught to fight unless there's a war so I guess we should have expected that" Dominic said

"It doesn't feel fear to my knowledge. If you see it, run. It crawls a lot so you can outrun it if you don't get boxed in."

----

"Until tomorrow morning."
