      From what I've read of Penders' stuff, I'll still take his writing over the writing of Angelo Decesare or Mike Gallagher.

      It's not TOO bad at the moment. Other may disagree of course, but to my mind the SA1 adaption is the start of the decline in the main series.

  2. Weird and funny comic moments

  3. Just finished issue #50, and the comics really do feel like they're improving. Endgame was actually better than I expected. I look forward to reading more.

  4. On issue #42 now, and I feel the comics really started to degrade once Mike Gallagher started to be one of the more common writers. Mecha Madness, while I was looking forward to it turned out to be boring and bogged down by Gallagher's overall clumsy feeling writing. I really do hope that things pick up once Endgame starts, but as of now it's not all that promising. Also, issue #33 was just awful.

      I don't really look at the early stuff, but I do know that the point your reading at is when things would be serious and dramatic one issue, then punny and cartoonish the next. It's didn't feel very focused in one direction.

  5. After an unintentional break, I shall now return to reading the Sonic comics from issues #33-150.

      33... isn't that great, not the best place to start from. If you've been noticing the comics slowly getting more serious, 33 is a throwback of about 20 issues. Plus, the story with Snively is really out of place after what he did in 30.

      Since I'm a modern girl, I like the latest drawing instead of the earlier weird ones. I know I'm missing a lot of information, but I have plenty of services to find the information whenever it is needed.

  6. Nearing issue #30 of the Sonic comics. They're improving, but haven't really gotten to anything that I would consider great yet. Issue #25 was really underwhelming, by the way.

      Once you go to 50 do not feel bad to skip all the way to 160.The time between then was a time many would prefer to forget.

  7. Games that you are currently playing

    Mercenary Kings - Grabbed it on PSN recently and while I have some minor problems with it, it's still a pretty good game.

  8. Currently I have read the mini-series and 10 issues of the actual series. So far I'm not really enjoying the early stuff. My big issue is that they rely mostly on humor and I don't find it all that funny. I will admit that there are some funny moments, but for the most part the jokes are very unfunny. I'm still going to continue reading because nothing has been awful, and I have hope that it gets better and a bit more serious in the future.

      Don't worry, it will. Even if you're not enjoying them, it's interesting to see the comic shift over time from 'Kid's funny comic' to 'Kid's adventure comic' to 'early teen adventure comic' over the first 50 issues.

      Even if 33 is out of place.

  10. Going to take on the possibly crazy task of reading issues #1-149 of the Sonic comics, as those issues are the only ones I haven't read yet.

    Gargoyle's Quest easily has one of my favorite video game soundtracks, especially this song in particular. The other two games in the series, Gargoyle's Quest II and Demon's Crest, also have fantastic soundtracks.

    For me it'd have to be: #3: Sonic 2 #2: Sonic Adventure 2 #1: Sonic 3 & Knuckles Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 06 get honorable mentions because for some reason I actually liked them, as strange as it may sound.

    I don't think I could narrow down all the characters I like to just 10, but Metal Sonic, Omega, Lara-Su, and Nicole are among my favorites.

    Treasure Team Tango, followed closely by Babylon Rising. Pirate Plunder Panic and Shadow Fall are also among my favorites.
