      I think merged post will have the time of new post, so it can still help.

      Lowering the post amount is demotivating though... mhm, probably I'm going to make a new game.. like staff vs the users or something, where -50 is Staff wins, +50 is users wins, and we start at 0. Whenever a person from said group makes a post, it adds (or in our case, decreases) to the counter. Dunno, might work it out later.
