D'aww lil' cutie! :,) and yeah. Changing how youe character looks is defo a way to make them seem more fleshed out. Especially if you yourself are not sure which version to go with. Heck my Sonic ocs went with GREAT changes along the way.

Oh, finally! A fan-character that is NOT a redesign of something! Have I lost my mind?
This is Emma the Hedgehog, mother of Amy Rose in the Mobius Reborn RP we're currently playing. She will probably never show up in the game, but I felt like I could give her a cool look, and turn the pic into a poster of some sort. 
Emmie is a pro wrestler, a "face", the kind of fighters that play "good guys" to put it simply. The character is inspired by Emi, the first version of Amy Rose that showed up in the manga.

Oooh sweet! I always wanted to see canon parents for Amy but alas, not happening. I thought she looked like that one character meant for either Sonic Fighters, R, or Racing? I can't remember her name though, but she was going to be "the love interest" since ya know, can't have a human woman and a Hedgehog in love *cough* Roger Rabbit *cough*
