Meanwhile, the two Fennekin's had fallen asleep next to each other.

"Better let it tick over for an extra ten minutes, just to be on the safe side," said Kimi. She knelt down next to Max. "I would so love to put a bow on you," she said petting her, "but I know you'd hate it."
