(anime information coming right now) But Oni is not only Ogre but it can also be just an evil being or spirit (like in Inuyasha there are MANY different kind of Oni and only few of them are actual Ogre's) and this word is also used from demons and such. Posted 22 Jul 2015 Yeah that's what I know about the word Oni. Basically Oni can be a demon, Demon-like creature, Ogre or something that possesses great powers like that.
