Ziona smiled. "Great, I'll just get changed." She jogged to her room, changed into her pajamas, and took off her locket. "For tonight, I just wanna be a kid," she said, putting the locket on the bedside table.

"Thank's Zamy, goodnight," said Miles, taking the stopper off the cure and drinking it. "Hmm, that's nice," he said, before swaying slightly. "Wow, makes me feel tierd already. Better get to bed." He quickly made his way to his room.

Melody grinned and pulled the triggers.

(So, are we ready to go to the next day then?)

(Okay, next morning it is)

There was a flash in the lab basement as the kid's reappeared, but they weren't alone now. And they looked slightly different. Skye was dressed in black and had a sword strapped to his back, while Ziona was wearing a kimono and had two katars holstered to her belt.

Skye looked around happily, and sighed.

"It's good to be home again. It's been a while," he said with a smile.

With a yawn, Miles turned over in bed and slowly came to. He glanced at his arm, and in the half light thought it looked paler than it had before. He sat up and switched on the bedside lamp, looking in a nearby mirror.

"It worked! I'm back to nor...wait... you've got to be kidding me!" said Miles as he looked at his reflection. He was back to normal. But TOO back to normal. His hair dye was gone. He looked identical to his prime counterpart.

"ZAMY!" Miles called heading to the door. "IT WORKED! BUT, uh... do you have any hair dye?" He was so preoccupied he failed to notice something else that was back. He had two tails again.

Dylan stood up and looked around. He was wearing a dark purple outfit, and had a pair of bracers on, which carried a kunai each. He was smiling

"Yeah. Its been like a month. I hope no one missed us much" He said

There were two more children with them

"THIS is where you LIVE?!" Said a lynx girl about Skye's age. She was wearing similar clothes to Skye and had a sword too, but she was holding it. "It's a mess!"

"I-I th-th-think its n-n-nice" a lynx boy said. He seemed slightly older than the other 4 but looked the most nervous of them all. Like Skye and yhe girl, he was wearing black but didn't have a blade. Instead, he was wearing armoured gauntlets, as well as some armour around his front and back

The girl rolled her eyes

"No one asked you to come Sarah," said Skye to the lynx girl, then he grinned at the lynx boy. "Glad you like it Mark. I can't wait to show you round. Though.... you will find it kinda strange."

Ziona looked around. "Uh.... Dominic, Stacey... if we've been gone for a month.... why has no one cleaned up the mess we made?" she asked, pointing at the trashed and messy parts of the lab

"Hmph!" The girl who seemed to be called Sarah said. "Its your faukt I'm here anyway"

The boy who seemed to be called Mark gave a nervous smile and looked around

"Everything already looks strange. I've never seen anything like this stuff before" he said

Dylan was looking at the messy parts too now

"I dunno, Zoe. That is strange. Maybe we should go find them" he said

"Hardly. You kept sneaking after us," said Skye to the girl, before walking to one of the table.

"Yeah Dominic, we should," said Ziona to Dylan. "They must be worried about us."

"They won't be," said Skye," tossing a watch over to Dylan and Ziona. "We haven't been gone for a month."

Sarah didn't answer. Mark tried not to laugh and began inspecting everything

Dylan looked surprised at Skye

"We haven't?" He asked. "How long have we been gone Stacey?"

"Just the night," replied Skye. "Hard as it is to imagine, we've only been gone a few hours. Not a month!" He glanced at Mark. "Careful, I... uh... do a lot of my magical stiff here. Some of it could be dangerous."

Zamy emerged from her room and glanced at Miles for herself.

"You got your tail back! " she said happily.

"Come on, we'll show Anna. I'll buy you your hair dye straight after."

"I think there's a guy aiming something at us."

Miles eyes widened at 'tail back'. "I... I do...?" he asked. He turned his head round slowly then gave a cry of delight. "I've got two tails! I've got two tails!" he sang happily, dancing in little circles. He ran over to Zmay and hugged her tightly, before standing back and spinning them around.

He spun out of control almost immediately, crashing into a wall.

"Hold on," said Melody, adjusting her aim to try and take out the guy before he fired.

Zamy hugged back then rushed over as he crashed to see if he was alright.

"Take it easy there, you need to get used to them again. Now come on, let's go see your friend."

The man fell out as the other helicopter banjed to avoid getting hit."

Miles was giggling. "Yeah, I'll need to learn to fly again. But I can spin them! Which means I can. YES! Let's go show Anna!"

Melody watched the man fall. "Hmm, got a snappy one liner Hope?" she asked as she shot at the helicopter again

Zamy activated her teleporter.

"Did you ever think a man would so easily fall for you?"

"Hmm, I hope she's awake," said Miles. "What time is it?"

Melody giggled. "You're good at this!" she said, before thinking for a minute. "I always sweep them off their feet..... nah... that doesn't work great."

"8:15. We could stop at your lab to get the cures ready?"

"Not terrible though."

"Normally Anna would be awake, but I think she sleeps in now she doesn't have training. I'll let her sleep for now so, yeah, let's work on these cures. Then think of some way to really tire the kids out so they feel sleepy as soon as possible," said Miles.

"I'll still need to work on my one-liners though," she said as she fired again, scoring some hits on the other helicopter

Mark stepped back again, looking very worried. Sarah chuckled at that

"Ho could it have been a night?" Dylan wondered aloud looking at the watch. "It's definitely been more than that where we were"

"Don't worry Mark, you'll get used to it soon," said Skye. Then he looked at Dylan. "Different Zones sometimes move at different speeds Dominic. That could have been the case here. OR we could have been thrown a month back in time. Or a combination of both."

"I hope soon. The sooner they're back, the better," said Miles, not managing to hide his regret this time.

"Very true!" said Melody as she fired again.

"Yeah... it sounds like there's someone in the lab," said Miles, hurrying towards the door.

"Great, another volley should do it," said Melody as she fired.

Mark gave a gulp but didn't say anything

"I guess..." Dylan said. "It's still strange"

"What are you two blabbing on about?" Sarah asked
