"I would still be a chameleon. And I would still act the way I am. And..." He paused, turning visible again revealing a tear going across his face. "I would still see myself like this. No. It has to be real"

"I so sorry Dylan," said Harmony, hugging him. "You didn't deserve to have this to happen to you."

Melody chose the same martial artist she'd been practicing with.

Hope chose tge ninja again, and Shadow picked the cyborg and a man in a hockey mask. The game started and it was Melody's character and the cyborg on the screen.

"Press this button to tag me in when you want to," explained Hope.

Dylan hugged back but the tears kept coming

"But you like me this way! You said I make a great kid!" He said

"I... I did.." said Harmony. "But transformations shouldn't happen to people who don't want them. It takes all the fun away. Especially when it messes with your head"

"Got it," said Melody, not hesitating and immediately doing a leaping charge towards the cyborg.

"They always do" Dylan said shuddering a little

"Not always," said Harmony. "But you've had bad experiences with them. But... if it wasn't changing your personality for the duration, would you have been able to cope? Maybe its a way to stop you becoming completely depressed."

The kick connected with the cyborg just as ir fired a cannonball.

Melody didn't quite manage to dodge the cannonball, and went flying back across the screen.

"Ooops!"

Dylan shook his head

"You... didn't understand a word of what I just said, did you?" said Harmony with slight smile.

Dylan did nothing for a moment then shook his head again

The cyborg got hit by the kick and went flying back as well. Shadow got them back on their feet and started walking towards Melody's martial artist.

"My little ziona , This should be a given between us . The back of my available for you to sit on."

"Shall I try to explain?" asked Harmony.

Melody waited until the cyborg got a bit closer, then the martial artist did a leaping attack from the ground, attacking and getting to its feet at the same time. She then leapt over the cyborg, hoping that would dodge a counter-attack.

"Yay, thanks Glen," said Ziona, ruffling the top of his head. "At least, until I grow up again and we have kids of our own. Then they'll get this spot!"

Dylan nodded but stayed quiet

The cyborg blocked the leaping attack and Shadow swtiched it out, causing it to jump off screen and the hockey mask guy to come ont othe screen, where Shadwo amde him swing a baseball bat at the martial artist.

"Well, uh..." Harmony thought how to put it. "You're freaking out because you now think of yourself like this," she said, holding up the drawing he'd done, but making sure he only saw the blank side. "But think how you'd feel if you didn't? You'd freak out every time you saw your reflection, or even glanced at yourself."

She looked at Dylan and tried to give a reassuring smile.

"And once you get back to your old self, you think your old self is you again. That's how these things work."

Melody blocked the bat but still took some damage. She tried to respond with a flurry of rapid strikes.

'What can that guy do aside from the bat?' Melody thought to Hope. 'And should we switch too?'

"I don't think of myself like that all the time" Dylan said sadly. And I didn't at first. So why am I now?"

"Hmm," pondered Harmony. "You didn't change physically right away either, unlike Skye and Ziona. Maybe you're resistant to magic so the changes are happening gradually?"

Dylan thought for a moment and shook his head

"I don't know anything about magic so I don't think so" he said

Shadow jumped over the majority of strikes but his character was hit by the last one,though wasn't knocked back.

"I don't know. I haven't played as him yet," thought Hope.

"No magic anti-transformation talismans or something like that?" asked Harmony. "Hmm, maybe it was just because you got changed as the pool was enchanted, so it is just slower than the others."

'Yay! Going in blind then," thought Melody, changing her attack to a heavy kick.

"Wait! I have this!" Dylan said holding up his teleporter. It was looser around him now than it was before and it wasn't in such good shape but it was functional "It's meant to stop me from transforming"

He then looked at it

"Why does it look so broken?" he wondered
