"Well... I have to say I'm surprised you let me look," said the Voice.  "Alright, I'll turn both you and Stacey back, but on one condition...."

Stacey gave a scared whimper as he saw Sarah flinch.  "What is it?" he asked, putting a hand on her shoulder.

Sarah stepped back surprised and not not expecting the hand on her shoulder

"What? Nothing" Sarah answered

"What's that?" she thought dreading it a little

"Something is..... you seem scared," said Stacey clearly worried.

"I want you to treat Stacey, Dominic, Zoe, and yes even Mark, as equals," said the Voice.

"I'm not scared" Sarah replied

"they're not though" she thought

"Then what's wrong?" asked Stacey.

"That doesn't matter.  Just try it," said the Voice.

"Nothing" Sarah insisted

"Why? You didn't care" she thought

Stacey still looked upset.

"I do care," said the Voice.  "I'm just trying to help."

"Stop that" Sarah said

"You called him a brat before and were saying there was no benefit to you doing anything" she thought

"Stop what?" asked Stacey.

"I was trying to goad you." said the Voice.

"Its got to be around here some where... " Myra said under her breath. Myra was satring to panic again, what if the DEL got already got them? She was passing over a partically dense clump of foliage when a head popped out "Myra? If you havent noticed, we hid the enterance to the cave," it said. "Tirade!" Myra exclaimed as she tackled an older dark- furred squirrel in a large bear hug.

"Looking so upset" Sarah said

"Goad me?" she asked

When the head popped up Skye had been ready to strike, but relaxed and smiled as he saw Myra embrace her brother.  He stood back, not wanting to interrupt the moment.

"I can't help it!" said Stacey.

"Yes.  To provoke a reaction," said the Voice.

"Sure you can" Sarah said

"Why?" she thought

"Hmph!" Stacey crossed his arms

"Because I was trying to help you.  It's what I do," said the Voice.

Sarah looked at Stacey unimpressed at his pouting

"What?" she thought

Stacey just looked back.

"What about what?" asked the Voice.

"How is that helping?" Sarah thought confused, the confusion showing a little on her face

"Because of it you let me see your mind, and now I understand more," said the Voice.

Stacey started to look a bit confused too.

Sarah scowled

"You tricked me" she thought

[Seviper the Fang Snake 368]

Seviper followed while holding on.

 

"I guess we can." Replied Fenn.

"It might be best" Dominic whispered

[Skye Prower 386]

"Well, it;s more fun that way than just telling you my plans!" said the Voice.

Stacey waved his hand on front of Sarah's face.

"Let's head outside, the stars will be out now," smiled Ziona.

"Not for me" Sarah thought. She then looked in surprise as Stacey waved his hand

"What?" she asked

"If you had tried flying, it would have been," said the Voice.

"You're... making wierd faces," said Stacey

"What's that got to do with anything?" Sarah thought

"No I'm not" she said
