Both parents were pretty even as they ran

The parents grinned and sped up.  Dominic's mother was faster, but his father could keep up with a longer stride.

"So... I'm going to be alone here?" asked Miles.

"You could come to No Zone and wait there quickly."

"So let's get things set up for a nice big meal for them," said Skye, getting out the pots and pans.

Melody's eyes shifted over to the door where Shadow had exited.

"You get used to it after a while. Just follow me to my office. It's normal in there."

With a last effort his father reached the door just before his mother.
