The woman pointed to Melody.

"You, come with us. We'll start questioning you first "

'You might get away with saying....' thought Melody, then she jump.  "W-what? Me?"

"You're welcome!" Dominic said smiling

Mark watched

Sarah did as Stacey said

Zoe took Jam back, the hugged both the toy and Dominic happily.

 

Harmony quickly paid of the items, then looked at the change.  "We'll split it half an' half," she said.

 

"No hand over the money, and he'll give you change," said Stacey.

"Sure I'll make some." Said Seviper.

"Yea!" Said Fenn.

"They're still hidden... wait what!?" thought Hope.

"I just wamt to talk, that's all," said the woman.

Dominic smiled and hugged back

"Um... okay. If you want" Mark said

Sarah slowly handed over her money, looking scared

"YAY!  Thanks Seviper!" cheered Zoe as she let go of Dominic.

 

"It's only fair," said Harmony.

 

The cashier took the money, then handed her back the change.  "There you go little girl."

"Er... o-okay," said Melody, taking a nervous step forward.  'At least they don't know we can still talk to each other,' thought Melody.

"Exactly. I'll be right here. Kind of," thought Hope.

The woman led Melody into a small house.

Seviper nodded and tried to give a thumbs up but realized he don't have thumbs or hands for that.

'It's better than being completely alone,' thought Melody following after the wolf.

"Are you okay Seviper?  You're twitching oddly," said Zoe.

The woman sat down in a chair at the empty dining table.

"What brings you to our quiet little town then?"

'Thanks, I might need it,' thought Melody.  "We were looking for a missing friend," she said out loud.

"I guess..." Mark said

 

Sarah squeaked as the cashier spoke then took the money

"Here, there's your half.  We might be able to buy some sweets with it," said Harmony as she handed some money to Mark.

 

"It's okay Sarah, you don't need to be scared," said Stacey kindly.

"I see. That black and red hedgehog I presume? Were you aware he's something of a 'fixer' for Kintobor?"

"Sweets?" Mark asked

 

"S-sorry Stacey..." Sarah said

"You mean the Princess?" asked Melody.

"You don't need to be sorry either," smiled Stacey

"I... never had sweets" Mark said

 

"Oh. S-sor...uh..."Sarah began

"Then it's time you tried some!" said Harmony.

 

Stacey hugged Sarah.  "Don't worry, please.  You're still getting used to everything."

"Our family had a nice arrangement centuries ago, her family changed that and we only see it fit to change things back."

"What... sort of arrangement?" asked Melody.

"Loud and clear. Looks like these wolves got pushed out of high society," thought Hope.

"We could act with impunity in those days. But the new royalty wasn't like us, in fact they hunted us down. Why don't you join us? You'll get a far more exciting existance than struggling in the fields. All we have to do is turn the princess."

"You want to... turn the Princess?" asked Melody a little shocked.  "How?  And... I get the feeling... if you were hunted down, you weren't exactly... friendly"
