"Yeah. Ah well. I got a few more of them as well. Just need to mop up the last ones and that woman's still out there."

"Yeah, I put him down. He changed back before I could make a nice rug though. There goes the evidence for my story," she laughed.

Hope smiled. "Thank goodness! Hey, there's Topaz."

Topaz got up and started to head back to the others. ---- Hope looked into her friend's eyes. "Melody, say something!"

Topaz flung the body off of her. "I hope it was as good for you as it was for me," she quipped, laughing at the absurdity of her situation. ---- Hope looked horrified at the black goop. "What the heck is happrlening?"

Topaz held up her rifle so that the wolf's teeth would sink into it and not her. --- "Melody!? What's wrong?"

Topaz fired the rest of the magazine as the wolf got close. --- "Snap out of it!"

Topaz tried positioning her rifle so the barrel would go into the wolf's mouth as it leapt at her. ---- Hope jumped up.and tried yanking her friend back.

Topaz switched to her rifle and started firing at the wolf as she ran towards him. ---- "Sounds like she's doing well," said Shadow upon hearing the explosion.

Topaz waited for 2 seconds of the 4 second fuse to pass then threw the grenade at the wolves.

Topaz managed to hit some of the wolves as she pulled the pin and let the spoon fly off the grenade. "Come on boy, wanna play fetch?" she grinned.

Topaz now fired at the approaching wolves as she readied her frag grenade with her off hand.

Topaz dived to the left, firing 5 shots at it. When she hit the ground she noticed more wolves coming into the barn.

"Aren't you things supposed to be fierce? Hiding in here is pretty cowardly. You afraid of me, you mutt?" she taunted, still looking for the wolf.

Topaz pressed ahead, but didn't get too close.

"Here goes nothing," thought Topaz as she charged in, firing at the wolf.

Topaz drew her pistol and proceeded towards the barn, stopping about 10m meters short and hurling 2 stun grenades inside it at different areas, hoping to set part of it alight. --- "It's begun."

Topaz spotted the wolf and fired a shoot at him before moving up. She was just using regular bullets in the rifle, but hoped it'd slow him down briefly. ------ "Good for you, so have I..." Shadow paused when he heard the shot.

"I'm not going to let a child waltz into the wolves' den, especially not in your current state. Besides, don't count your friend out." ---- Topaz had made it to the tree line and was looking over the town with her scope.

"I'd rather work alone. It's just easier that way."

"Regardless I'd still have a better chance against him."

"Perhaps you're forgetting you can't walk, let alone run," said Shadow.

"I won't let that happen. If your friend isn't back by tomorrow, I'll hunt this beast myself," said Shadow. "Speaking of being missing," said Rouge as she approached Shadow and gave him a punch to his left cheek. "Don't go running off on your own. If you'd had let me come with you at the very least you'd have been able to report on these things," she continued. "I won't let that happen. If your friend isn't back by tomorrow, I'll hunt this beast myself," said Shadow. "Speaking of being missing," said Rouge as she approached Shadow and gave him a punch to his left cheek. "You van barely walk. Take it easy and we'll get through this," smiled Hope.
