"Same here. And that's what worries me," said Crowley.

"I hope they don't. For all our sakes."

"I fear it's only a matter of time Melody."

Crowley looked to Melody. "It seems Red has made Mina very suspicious, and both her and Locke are doing a poor job of throwing her off."

"Do you want to go ask him?" asked Hope.

"I'm not sure. Maybe one of the others did something. Or perhaps he just saw Locke. He isn't exactly his biggest fan."

Crowley was watching from afar. He had no idea why Red decided to tell Mina in the first place. Surely she knew that dropping cryptic hints would only lead to disaster.

Not to my knowledge unfortunately. And while the controls for the main game are good for the most part, they are a bit slippery at times

Well having played a bit more on the 3DS I can tell you all that whilst the main gameplay is great from what I've played, albeit taking some time getting used to, the special stages are absolutely atrocious. You have to move the 3DS around so Sonic can collect orbs, and it's nigh impossible to do with any precision or ease. Why they couldn't just use the control pad I'll never know.

"Good idea. I hope Shadow and everyone else doesn't outright destroy Eggman's machine. It'll be easier to repurpose this one than build my own from scratch."

"Thank you. I always plan for the worse. Something I sincerely hope my uncle never does. And this dream machine would be a great way to have some fun and relax. Maybe I should charge people to use it."

"This is the price of failure Miss Prower." Hope snapped her fingers and the monster exploded in a shower of sparks. "Well that was fun," she said in her usual cheerful voice.

The creature's head came clean off, but it still let out grunts and groams, and it's body attempted grab Melody, but failed miserably. Hope raised an eyebrow. "Well that was unexpected. Left, go left you fool. Wait no, not this way!"

The creature stood there, oblivious to Melody's slash, and turned to face her. "You'll have to try harder than that!" said Hope

"Very well. ATTACK!" yelled Hope as her monster lurched forward towards Melody. "This might be your second life, but you only live twice, Miss Prower," she taunted with a smug smile.

"Hehe thank you. It certainly helps to be related to two mad scientists. Good thing it doesn't run in the family" The tone of Hope's voice changed to a serious, flat tone. "Or does it? Maybe I built this machine to trap you all inside. With my minions there will be no stopping me."

"Hmmm... you might be on to something there. I'll try something simple first. Just to test it." Hope began to concentrate and a shadowy form slowly appeared on her right, rising out of the sand. Once completed it resembled Frankenstein. "IT'S ALIVE! IT'S ALUVE!" yelled Hope as she gave off her best maniacal laugh.

"Hehe can't say I blame them," said Hope.

"Yeah. Be glad it didn't stray to late night B movies. You wouldn't believe the amount of fake looking monsters that live on islands," joked Hope, as Ziona came over. "Hi Ziona. How's it going?" she asked, shuddering slightly when she saw Glen watching them.

"Oh yeah." Hope gave a thought and her hair was fixed, though she now found herself in a grass skirt and coconut bikini. "All I thought was that this place seems like what Hawaii was," she said as she went back to her normal clothes. Crowley returned Red's look. "Your guess is as good as mine Mina," he said.

Hope looked up with a faceful of sand. "I'm fine Melody. Nothing hurt but my pride. And my hair do," she said.

"A-HA! Now the tables are turned!" yelled Hope as she jumped at Melody, missing spectacularly and landing face first on the beach.

Hope just burst into laughter, trying her hardest to stay upright.

Hope gave a look of mock shock. "Oh no, somebody save me!" she said in a deliberately overly dramatic voice.
