"We nweed swome way two fwollow thwem," said Stacey.  He glanced towards Ziona, Seviper and Carol.  "Thwey won' wet us hewp!" he added in a whisper. "Knowing Eggman, we're looking for a pyramid on which he's carved his face.  Shouldn't be too hard," said Ziona in a somewhat snarky tone.

"T-thwy mwust dwo..." said Stacey, trying to hold in his tears on front of Sarah and Ally. "It's a very strange world here," smiled Ziona, then she turned back to Carol.  "Good ideas... which one is closer to that direction?" she asked, pointing to where Eggman's airship has flown off to.

"I... I dwunno... thwe wobwots hwad thwem..." said Stacey, starting to look upset. Ziona had a thoughtful look.  "Given this is Angel Island, he's unlikely to have many bases here under the Echidna's gaze.  And if he does have a sizable base, it would be well hidden and somewhere that's unlikely to be distrubed."

"An' cwause they wewe twying to twake Dwominwic an' Zwoe," said Stacey. "Thank you Carol... and we have our party, but we'll need a plan," said Ziona.

"I thwink thwey wewe bwad wowbwots..." said Stacey. "Nice to meet you Carol.  I wish it was under better circumstances," said Ziona.

"You mwean thwe wobwots?" asked Stacey. "T-thank you... uh... I don't even know your name," Ziona apologized

"Mwaybe Swevwiper an' Zwiona knwow," said Stacey, breaking off the hug. Ziona hugged both Seviper and Fenn.  "I... I know... we will," she managed to nod, then looked over to the husky.  "That's very kind of you, but we can't ask you to put yourself in danger."

Despite Sarah's protests, Stacey kept hugging.  "I.... dwunno.." he admitted to Mark. "I...." Ziona began to reply to the Husky, holding Fenn tighter, but as Seviper mentioned 'he took the kids' she broke down into tears.

So after many months of sweet nothing, we've finally had a trailer:     My thoughts: Gameplay looks good at first glance, but it's FE, so of course the gameplay will be good. Please don't be another waifu simulator! Please, please have a good story! And as for the artstyle.... well....

Stacey smiled and tried to hug both Sarah and Ally.  He saw Mark approaching and waved.  "Whewe awe Dwominwic an' Zwoe?" he asked. "I'm sorry you got involved," said Ziona to the Husky.  Her voice was shaking, and she seemed on the edge of tears.  "Are you alright?"  

"Ywo... an' Awwy?" asked Stacey as he started to sit up. Ziona clung tightly to Fenn as, without Eggman responding, the Airship began to turn.  "He's gonna get more than he bargained for with those kids..." she muttered.

There was a Condor in the Death Egg Saga who was robotized and then smashed... not sure where that falls on the death timeline.

Hmm.... I think... Fly Fly Freddy was robotized and then smashed in the comics...

Didn't Tails die in the 'bad' ending of Sonic 2 on the game gear?

I'm pretty sure it's the SU issue that was he Sega All-Stars racing promo.

"W-wha... whwat hwappenwed?" murmured Stacey as he slowly came round. "We'll get them back," said Ziona to Fenn, kneeling down to hug her.  She looked over in surprised as she spotted the husky on the edge of the clearing. "You can think of it as low or not.  But try and stop my conquest of the island and the children WILL suffer," warned Eggman.

There was a sudden shift in the robots, as most of them suddenly turned and started heading back towards the airship.  A few of them stayed to fight, but were quickly brought down by the group. There was an electronic whine as a loud broadcast speaker turned on, and Dr Eggman's voice came blaring out. "Greeting!  As many of you know, I am the illustrious Dr Eggman.  And YOU have interfered in my plans once to many times.  But now I have some of your precious little darlings, and if you want them to remain intact, STAY OUT OF MY AFFAIRS!" 

Some robots swooped right towards Ally and Sarah, another towards Mark's hiding place, and the group that had fired on the husky twisted round and swoop after her again. "Weren't you dismissing Eggman because of his name," huffed Ziona. Dominic and Zoe were pulled into the ship, and Lance was close to following.

Honestly, the off-panel made 100% sense this time, so it's pretty much the 'canon' reason as far as I'm concerned.

The robots swooped in for another attack, splitting themselves between everyone who wasn't stunned. A small group tried to life up Lance, though it was slow going as he was larger than the little kids. "Still sounds like the same thing.  Temporary boost of almost unstoppable power," muttered Ziona trying to reach Lance before he was taken away.  

The robots swooping towards the husky opened fire, but as she dove for cover their shots went wide. With Dominic unconscious, the robots quickly made their way back to the air fortress. Sarah managed to break apart the robot she was facing, while another swooped towards Ally.   The robots closed in on Lance again, trying to stun them.  The one facing Fenn was unmoved by her threat and advanced again.   "You can... use a... super form too?" asked Ziona as she fought her way through the bots. For now, it seemed that the swarm haddn't noticed Mark. ------------ Someone else had though.  Eggman was staring at disbelief at his monitors, seeing the arrival of Mark and the Husky.   "This is supposed to be a secret base!  And they've turned it into an elementary school.  And THESE are the ones who keep foiling my plans?"

Sure, a recap and roll-call is useful, heck, the Archie comics did it too. But the WAY they did it?  I've seen more effort put into a job by a corpse.
