I guess Generations counts as an exception, but even then that was nearly four years ago.  This new rule came into play around the time the reboot came into effect.

The problem with Sonic's eyes is a way of getting around Sega's newest set of rules.  You see, Sega said they don't want to see their characters age and that seems to include no classic versions of their characters, so to get around this problem they wrote the flashback as a vague "some time ago" and gave Sonic classic design green eyes and show buckles.  All in the pursuit of dodging one of many obstacles Sega throws at them nowadays, such as the One Metal Sonic mandate and the No Eggman Nega mandate.  Hope this will help ease confusion from now on.

Congrats to the new mods on their promotion. If I'm honest, I felt it was only a matter of time when Skye and/or Dylan got to be a Mod :P

Aside from the terrible variant, I love how this comic is taking every advantage from the fourth wall. A racing story should seem like manic fun for a comic like this and I'm all for that.

Maybe Worlds Unite will be more of a good read when it's over? I mean, when Genesis was being released, people couldn't stand it because it deviated from the main plot. Same thing with Worlds Collide and it's possibly the same thing here. It's said this won't interfere with the main plots when its released, but that doesn't change the fact that it will lend a heavy hand in influencing the stories we're reading now. Hopefully when it's over we'll find it more enjoyable, but as of now, it looks too soon.

Jeez, next Summer's going to be pretty hectic... I'm pretty cautious with my optimism on this one. Ian actually said this crossover will have a "monstrous cast", so this maybe a little too cluttered, despite my love of large casts. But if it the speculation is true and this bad boy does turn out to be a 16 part saga, then there may just be enough space for everyone to have their moments in this. One thing I'd like to know now is who's on the art team for this event?

I actually enjoy Gray's style. I really like the quirky, anime-esque look of it. As for Lim, I can wholeheartedly agree. Expressionless is just the start of what makes his work look bad. It's right up there with Many Hands and Penders for worst art of the comic. I can only imagine the true joy readers felt back in 2006 when they first saw Yardley's debut right after seeing the last Lim pencilled issue.

Well, guess that answers Boom's flaws. A real shame too, this could've really shined as some Ratchet and Clank with Sonic characters in it. However, I think some people have been hating this game more than it deserves.

Too right Skye. Ever since 2005 when Shadow the Hedgehog was released, gaming sites have been negative Nancy's about Sonic games. Sure, there have been some popular titles of recent, but while Mario games are always somehow spot on not matter what, there's always some complaint stored specially for Sonic.

I thought the comic was pretty different in portrayal as well. I think Ian garnished the stupid a tinsy bit thick on Knuckles to be honest. Strange, because like you said, Knux wasn't particularly stupid so far in the show (granted he was mostly in the background, but still). My theory for the difference? This comic was likely written when the show was in production and Ian was only given a rough idea to work with. It's either that, or this is just one of his weaker ventures as far as I can tell. For now, I'll just wait and see whether TV Knuckles is the right portrayal, or comic Knuckles is. It's too soon to call how he'll turn out.

What kind of comic arc I'd like? Well, something that revolves around exploring Mighty and Ray's new back stories would be nice. However, what I really want is some new saga where Metal can take the spotlight. He has the potential in being the Ultron/Brainiac of this comic and I'd love to see it being used.

I'm with Dylan on this one, since I actually have Unleashed and I kind of like playing the Werehog. if I'm in the mood. :P

After reading #264, I'd never thought I'd say this, but I am happy the Werehog is here :P

I'm willing to bet Shard's going to appear in this, which would only make even more giddy. Seeing Nicole get an arc just makes me rub my hands in anticipation. And it'll be co-written by Flynn and Baker, which is a first for the book.

If I'm not mistaken, Ken ripped off the title of this from one of his own fans. Not even bothering to give him the credit. Which means we have another member added to the "people that got screwed over by Penders club."

Someone needs to create eye wash for anyone who bravely looks at that... thing. I mean, can this really count as art!?

I think I read somewhere it'll be released on the 17th. Fingers cross it'll be on the site before then.
