"Trained? At you age?" asked the shadow.

"Yes. Where we trained, everyone starts early" Dominic said

"H-happy to help" Sarah said smiling

"Hmm, is that good or very boring?" asked the shadow.

"Okay, now I'll do you," said Zoe turning around

"I enjoyed it. What about you, cuz?" Dominic asked

Sarah turned around

"Yeah, I had a great time... though... some of the company..." Stacey replied.

Zoe quickly tied the knot. "There you go."

Dominic giggled

"Yeah. There was some awful company but good company too" he said

"Th-thank you" Sarah said turning back around again

"Sometimes in the same person!" said Stacey, then blushed slightly.

"Now we're ready to start. You paint the flowers, I'll paint a sunset

Dominic looked at Stacey and giggled

Sarah nodded

"As you wish" she said picking up a paintbrush

"Err......" Stacey shuffled his feet.

Zoe grinned and praised some lids off the paint tins.

"Why are you blushing?" Dominic asked still giggling

"Wh-what colour flowers do you want?" Sarah asked

"I'm... I'm not blushing!" said Stacey pulling himself straight.

"I don't mind. A mix of colours," said Zoe.

"You were" Dominic said with a grin

Sarah looked at the choice of colours she had

"As you wish" she said

"No I wasn't!" said Stacey a little huffily.

"Thanks Sarah," said Zoe, still painting

"Was he blushing? Tell the truth" Dominic asked the figure

Sarah began painting some flowers on the wall. They weren't bad but they weren't great either despite her doing the best she could

"Yes he was," spoke the figure, sounding amused, before Stacey could say anything

Zoe's painting on the other hand.... could be charitably described as a mess.

"Yes. I don't want it getting into the wrong hands."

"Good idea, let's find one away from the patrols."

"It's probibly for the best," said Melody, though she did sound a little disappointed.

"If there is still power to that ruined section of the building we might have a chance. Less patrols there<" pointed Ziona.

[Shadow the Hedgehog 5]

"I have the knowledge if I ever needed to make another one for whatever reason."

Zamy nodded.

"Here goes nothing."

"Yeah... at least that's unlikely to fall into the wrong hands," said Melody.

Ziona carefully started moving forward through cover.

[Shadow the Hedgehog 5]

"Exactly. No one other than us knows of its existence."

Zamy followed, only just managing to stay unseen as she reached the terminal and started typing on the keyboard.

"And you;re the only one who knows how it works!"

Ziona kept a careful eye out as Zamy worked.

"Anything?"

"Precisely."

"No, nothing. If they've even got him I can't find out from here. I think-" Zamy jumped back as a laser hit the terminal before, swiftly followed by several more which hit her in the side.

"Maybe one day we'll take another trip," said Melody.

"ZAMY!" Ziona grabbed her friend and dragged her into cover. "Are you okay?"

Miles walked into the apartment and looked around. "Zamy?" he asked, then spotted the note on the table. He went over to read it.

"I'd like that actually."

Zamy stuck the laser pistol over the cover and fired blindly at the troops, wincing as she felt where she was hit.

"I've been better," she muttered.

The note Zamy had written down simply said;

"Miles,

I've gone to help out Ziona with something, I shouldn't be too long. If you desperately need to contact me there's a spare radio in the safe in my room. My spare key is in my top clothes drawer.

Love, Zamy."

"YEah, hopefully without getting lost this time!"

Ziona charged up her gauntlet laser and returned fire as well. "You're still snarking, that's a good sign!" she replied.

Miles read the note then put it back on the table. "I hope you won't be long Zamy," he said quietly, before walking into his room.
