"Um... we just wanna say sorry for going in the cupboard. We won't do it again" Dominic said looking guilty

"I'll try," said Melody.

"Y-yeah, we're really really sorry Zamy.  We swear we won't touch those bottles again," added Zoe.

Hope moved forwards.

"I'm not going to let a few ravenous zombies stop us."

"I'm glad to hear, thank you," she replied.

"Don't forget to hand it to Ziona," she said to Miles before rushing off to the cells.

"I guess you're right.  We've gotten this far," said Melody.

"Y-you're welcome," said Zoe as Miles went through to Ziona, and found her staring at the drinks cabinet.

Dominic looked confused

"No sign of them yet. You see anything?"

Zamy arrived at the cells, handing Zunnie and Zark a card.

"We're having a housewarming party in a couple days. It'd be great if you could come."

"No, not yet," said Melody.  "But I can hear and smell them..."

"Ziona, I've got an invite for you," said Miles.

 

"Huh, what?  Oh, thank you Miles," said Ziona, snapping out of her reverie.

"I dunno!" Dominic said to Zoe

"Shall we try and find out?" asked Zoe.

"Yeah! Let's!" Dominic said

Zoe grinned and headed through to the living room where Ziona was reading the invite.

"What's going on?" Dominic asked as they came in

"Oh, hi kids," said Ziona.

 

"Er.. well..." began Miles.

Dominic looked at Miles

 

"Yeah?" he asked

"Er... it's just... the grown ups are gonna be having a boring grown up party..." said Miles.

"Oh...they are?" Dominic asked

"Yeah, a few days from now," said Miles.

"Oh... why can't parties be fun?" Dominic asked

"They can be, but this one is just grown-ups standing and talking," said Miles.

"Sounds boring..." he said

"Yeah, why do grown ups like boring stuff," wondered Zoe.

 

Miles did his best not to laugh.  "I don't know."

"It's silly!" Dominic said. "Do you like grownup stuff, uncle Miles?"

"Er... uh....." Miles looked conflicted as he looked between Ziona and the kids.
