  1. Removed Characters?

So I've heard that after the reboot happened, many characters were cut/killed off due to copyright issues with one of the writers. They all seem to be comic exclusives though, like Scourge or Fiona. Are there any of the older comic characters left, or do the newer comics just have the SEGA and SatAm cast?
  2. I have a question

So I've been reading the Archie Sonic comics lately (currently finished issue 76), and to be honest, they just don't really interest me. I understand that it's basically a comic book version of Sonic SatAM with it's darker tone and drama, but I just can't really get into it (not saying it should be super wacky and filled with cringe-worthy puns like back when the comic first started, but still).  However, I've seen bits and pieces from some of the newer comics (specifically the ones that take place after the reboot), and they seem more up my ally from what I've seen so far. They seem to be a perfect blend of comedy and action, and I appreciate the little references to the SEGA games. I'm intrigued to quit reading the older comics and begin reading the new ones, but at the same time I wanna see how things unfold in the Sonic-verse. So I don't know, should I keep reading, or no?
  3. Mega Drive Comic?

Hi, I'm not sure whether this has been answered yet and I apologize if it has been but is the Mega Drive comic going to be released here on the SCANF? Oh and I've started doing some sketches/drawings of the concept art for the characters! All feedback greatly appreciated! http://knuxxed.deviantart.com/
  4. They Collided. They United. Now Their Worlds Must Align Once More… Yep, you read that title correctly. This is a little something I've been working on since about the middle of 2015. I loved Worlds Collide when it was released; it got me reading the Mega Man comic books, and while it did end with the Sonic reboot, it still kept me curious of what could come next. Add to that the Wily Egg still hanging around (or rather, below) in Blaze's world, and the thought of a possible second crossover got me intrigued. Then Worlds Unite happened and, while it had some cool moments, the overall pacing, character roster and last-minute additions from the SEGA/Capcom multiverse prevented it from being a worthwhile read for me. Since then, I started theorising on what a potential third crossover could be like. But with Sonic still busy fixing the shattered world, and Mega Man's continuing comic adventures in a state of uncertainty, I decided to start writing my own crossover ideas down. Now, before I give the synopsis, I should note that this is a four-franchise crossover between Archie Sonic and Archie Mega Man (or at least close to it), with certain characters and elements of Mega Man X and Sonic Boom. There won't be any other SEGA or Capcom franchises in this one, mostly to prevent having too many characters again (and also because I'm not too familiar with the ones that appeared before). Maybe if this ever becomes an RP, but not right now... With all that out of the way, here's what I have so far. (Currently just the backstory, settings and a list of characters): If all goes well, then I should be able to update this if/when necessary. So, any thoughts so far? Any adjusments/improvements that can be made?
  5. Sonic Adventure DX mod

I'm planning to do a voice/music mod for Sonic Adventure DX PC. Basically I'm replacing every track in the game with Megaman X songs (X1-X8 and MHX) and I'm replacing the voice actors English and Japanese with the voices for Megaman X and some line within the story not the texts itself I don't know how to change those. Here's the new voice actors/voice clips for this mod.Sonic the Hedgehog - Mark Garth (Eng)/Shotaro Morikubo (Jap) (X)Miles "Tails" Prower - Lenne Hardt (Eng)/Minami Takayama (Jap) (Axl) Kunckles the Echidna - Lucas Gilbertson//Ryotaro Okiayu (Jap) (Zero) Amy Rose - Mariette Sluyter (Eng)/Rumi Kasahara (Jap) (Alia) Big the Cat - Robert Belgrade (Eng/Hirotaka Suzokai (Jap) (Signas) E-102 Gamma - Norio Wakamoto (High Max) Dr.Eggman - Dave Pettitt (Story Only)/Charlie Fontana (Battle Cry) (Eng)/Mugihito (Jap) I don't know how many megaman fans are on this page, but it would be helpful if I get voice clips of Axl, Alia, Signas, and Dave Pettitt. And I also giving you guys a choice about which music would fit better for the stage. Casinopolis (Hallway and Pinball game) - I'm leaving Nights's music intact because it's enjoyable and it wouldn't feel right to replace it, but for the hallway and the sonic pinball game I need to know what X music would fit best for this. The garbage I'm using Metal Shark Player. Ice Cap (In the cave) - I can't decided between Billazard Wolfang theme from Megaman X6 or Frost Warlus 2nd theme from Megaman X4 since they both fit well for the stage. Speed Highway (Highway Area) - I'm kinda mix between the Sky Lagoon theme from X4, Awakening Highway from X7, or Central Highway from Maverick Hunter X. Red Mountain (In the volcano) - This was a real challenge between Magma Dragoon theme from X4, Matterx (Burn Dinorex) theme from X5, Blaze Heatnix theme from X6, Flame Mammoth theme from Maverick Hunter X. I need someone who's good at Character mods and somebody who's good at Sound Effect hacking. I have all the sound effect files I want to put in the game, but I need someone who's good at that.
  6. Sonic & Mega Man: WORLDS UNITE?!

Well, it appears Xander Payne WAS onto something in Mega Man #40, because this just popped up recently: Source: http://www.polygon.c...rossover-series Yep, Sonic and Mega Man are gonna have another crossover, in Spring of next year! The article above has more details. Judging by the teaser image, it looks like Sonic's world will still be suffering from the Shattered World Crisis (Unleashed Arc), and I'm guessing this event'll happen just after STH's 'Champions' arc, Sonic Universe's 'Spark of Life' arc, and the second half of the 'Mega Man 3' arc. (I highly doubt the Sonic Boom comic will get dragged into this.) With that said... I think it might be a little bit too early for the heroes to cross paths again (or technically, for the first time... dammit, time travel!). I mean, if it was after the Unleashed arc is resolved in Sonic's World, then maybe I could understand. But it's looking like it'll still be shattered during this event. But obviously, what I'm most curious about is HOW they're gonna meet up this time. I doubt it'll be another Genesis Wave, or another Skull Egg Zone. And it's likely that Xander's gonna be involved in some way... I guess all we can do is wait till New York Comic-Con this weekend to get more details. Anyway, what do you guys think? Awesome news, or too early?
  7. Top 5 Megaman Games (The Whole Series)

Since the genders of Megaman Games differ I put it here. Your top five games between the whole series of Megaman games, The Original Megaman, Megaman X, Megaman Zero, Megaman Legends, Megaman Battle Network and Megaman Starforce. 1. Megaman X 6 : I loved all of the bosses and the boss theme but the fight with zero nightmare was the best. I holded back on all of boss fights just to make them last longer. 2. Megaman Starforce 3 Black Ace : The best Starforce game. My main reason for liking it is the noise system and The Black Ace. 3. Megaman Zero 3 : Zero himself is enough for me to have it in top three but I really liked Omega and Zero's story. 4. Megaman Legends 2 : I love dungeon based games and this is one of them. There are lots of things to do besides the main story and lots of secret things to find. 5. Megaman Powered Up : This is the only Original Megaman game I played and felt that it should be in the list. I didn't put the Battle Network games here because they are merely Starforce games that are on GBA. I might play other Original Megaman games and update this list later.
  8. So I was recently looking over at the Bumbleking forums and found this... interesting topic: http://www.bumblekin....php?f=4&t=7415 You may notice that pretty much everyone (both there and even outside the forums) aside from a few are calling this a blatant cash-grab and a gimmick. And you know what? I actually think they're mostly right. It basically just amounts to making you buy the same issue twice, with what is likely a one or two-page difference at the end. While you could argue that they won't be necessary to understand the next issue/arc, to me it still sounds a little bit greedy. This really doesn't help matters here either, as practically all the issues on this website are the standard covers. Luckily, this appears to simply be a 'test' of-sorts, so it won't be permanent (and judging by most people's reactions, I doubt it will return anytime soon). But I'd like to know what you guys think about this: Could it possibly work, or is this just a cheap money-grabber?
  9. So... This is my first topic here, and I only find it fitting that it's a major topic. Anyone who has read or owns Sonic The Hedgehog Issue 250 has probably noticed a teaser for events to come after Worlds Collide: While the Mega Man one is obvious... it looks like things aren't gonna go well for Sonic. What are your thoughts?
