While I don't keep up with these things that well...   He can't use Knuckles (but he's trying to get past it by giving Knuckles the same look as in his X years later comics and changing their name), he can use the other Echidnas and various other characters since they are HIS characters   As for using Angel Island and Mobius, I don't think he would be able to use them both specifically but if I remember correctly, he's just going with "These guys are aliens. That's it"   Given the whole lawsuit thing, Archie and SEGA will probably be keeping a close eye on him, and Pendersman probably knows this so will be careful in what he does
