Chromatic Terras

Kali lands out the edge of the forest to take a view of the great lake before him. Half of it was frozen over, leaving a chilling mist in the area. Out in the center of the lake,Trigun stood, wielding a large halberd as he continues to tap it on the water, freezing over even more. He looks up to See Kali and soon Spectre approach him. "Well well. I couldn't have asked for a better pair." he says walking towards them with his arms open. "Where has the rest of them gone?"

"Of course he is." Kali says as him and Spectre rush through the woods at tremendous speed. They reach the river to see small tracks of ice moving upstream. "He must be at the lake where all the waters coming from." Kali says changing direction to move more inland.

"Then we better get a move on." Kali says as he steps off the shrine and enhances his legs. He crouches down and then jumps off with tremendous power, breaking the ground under him slightly.

"Indeed that may be so." Kali says as he notices the waterfall going off the side of the island. "There is a river over there, isn't there?" he asks pointing in the direction.

"He is more cunning than that this time around." Kali says looking towards the center of Angel Island. "He must be here for some kind of talk, but has a back up in case things get violent. Is there any large bodies of water nearby?"

Knuckles nods as him, Astraea, and Chaos all jump off the edge of the island to their next destination. Kali waits for a moment as the all depart and then looks to Spectre. "So you know he's up here as well?" he says in a serious tone.

"Of course, forgive my hasty actions." Knuckles apologizes. He looks off the edge of the island and locates the Cocoa Islands. "We can head over to there. No reason to waste energy and teleport." Astraea nods, however Kali looks a little confused. "Uhm, besides the fact that Chaos can travel through water, I'm the only one who can't fly." he speaks out. "Want me to carry you then cry baby?" Astraea says slyly. Kali looks over to her with a grumpy expression. "I'll wait for the island to go over head and drop down, I could use some time to become one with the Master Emerald and nature here." Knuckles nods to him as he looks to the rest of the group. "Well, let's head down and prepare ourselves then."

Knuckles thought for a moment. "Well we have two options. We can either remove the Master Emerald from its shrine and dropped the island in the ocean for a bit, or we can head to the Cocoa Islands. Both of which have a volcano and forest that you two can use to boost your abilities." Astraea and Kali nod as Knuckles then turns to Spectre. "If we work together, we can teleport the island onto the sea rather than wait for it to descend and crash, or you can just take us to the islands now."

"So how do we get him to us?" Knuckles asks. "Well unless we can set this island in the middle of the ocean, he won't come back up here at such a disadvantage. We'll probably have to head mainland again on a remote island. If he has any desire to rule this world before returning to our own, he'll start with small islands first and work his way up the continents." Astraea explains.

"Then we'll just have to lure him here." Astraea says, pulling out the other two journals. "He needs these just as much as we do." "You've still been holding onto them?" Knuckles asks surprised. "Of course, everything in our possession gets de-materialized as well when defeated. Otherwise we'd be reborn naked every time. It was something we've all evolved from over time." Chaos looks down at himself and lets out a silent sigh due to his lack of clothing.

Knuckles and Astraea make it back to the shrine. As they walk up, Kali looks over to them and get's up from the ground. He rushes over to Astraea and hugs her tightly. "Thank the elements you've made it back." he says to her. She confusing puts her arms around him as well. "Umm, yea. It's good to see you again too." she then looks to Chaos who still holds the book in his body. "Is that the final journal?" she asks, letting go on Kali and walking over." Chaos reaches into his own body and pulls it out, revealing the seal to be broken. As Astraea opens it, she looks through a bit. "Just as I suspected. I cannot read their language." She then looks to Chaos. "I assume with time you'd be able to, however you can't talk." Chaos simply gives a nod as Knuckles thinks for a moment. "Then our only hope is to capture Trigun and have him read it for us."

"I can only imagine. In anycase, we should head back. Chaos should be done opening the book by now." Knuckles says. Astraea nods once more and the two begin to head back to the shrine. --------------------- "That's good then." Kali says as he looks over to Chaos who still held the book in his stomach. "Is that the third journal from the water elements professor?" Kali asks looking confused.

(ooc: aww, ok. hope all goes well/ have fun with what you're doing.) "Haha, don't be. You'll love em." Rancor says as he heads out with Kayl. ---------------------------- "I see. He must be reviving her then." Kali says looking towards the mountain. He then turns back to Spectre. "What happen to me after I froze over? Did I die as well, or did you manage to get me out?" ----------------------------- "So you do know of his transformation." Knuckles says. Astraea simply nods her head. "You could say it may be the reason we're here in the first place. Before we fell the first time and somehow transported to this world, him and his entire squadron had gone berserk. I was left to fight him, along side with taking care of Trigun, but at that point he wasn't as villainous as he is now. He held back on most of his power as well." "I see." Knuckles says thinking. "So I can only assume that your people have some hidden power as well." "We tend to restrain from using it to improve our own abilities, but yes. In a way, you could say ours is the most dangerous in terms of environmental affects." "You set everything around you ablaze?" "Not just fire, but lava as well. Our bodies fully emit lava from every side with ability to control it." "Good lord, it would be like Chaos's final form only worse." Knuckles says thinking back to the destructive power of perfect chaos. "For you maybe, but for us it is an ability with beautiful wonders. You could say we mainly held back on it against the earth elements because they at least wish to share the same land as us."

Knuckles reaches the mountain time, near the cave entrance in which him and Kali originally visited. He follows through the tunnels back to the core of the mountain and looks down into the pit of magma below. He pulls out Astraeas gem and quickly turns to run as he tosses it in. Once outside, he waits as the inactive volcano rumbles and lava spews out from the cave, gathering together into a large ball, and then forming Astraeas body as she slowly descends to the ground. "Must you always be so flashy when you do this." Knuckles says standing there. "Normally our people reform above the magma, however your entrance is blocked." Astraea replies in her typical annoyed manner. "I take it you guys retrieved the book already?" "We have, but not after some minor issues." "Such as." "We didn't expect Kali to go ballistic." Astraea pauses, thinking about Knuckles words. "So you've seen his full power then?" "We have. And I wanted to ask you more about it before we got back." -------------------------------------- "I see." Kali responds. "Where is Knuckles?"

"I would be delighted." Rancor says as he stands up from the bed. "I must warn you, I make some delicious flap-jacks. --------------------------- Knuckles jumps from the edge of the island and uses the momentum to glide up and into the air, directing himself toward the mountain top. After he leaves, Kali slowly begins to awaken. In a daze, he puts his hand on his head and sits up. His gem had faded to a greyish green color. "How did we end up back here? Where's Trigun?" he asks, looking around.

Knuckles quickly places Kali next to the Master Emerald and then looks to the mountain. "I'm going to revive Astraea and ask her a few things." He says to Spectre as he turns and heads for the volcano

Knuckles looks to Chaos, who still had the book inside his body. "Yea, we're good." he says as him and Chaos grab on to Spectre to be teleported out.

Chaos helps Knuckles up and the two walk over to Kali with Spectre. As they get to his body, he still had not budged after being shot by the chaos spear. Knuckles quickly scaled his arm to get to his chest and see the damage. He stands in shock to see that the energy had only managed to burrow through half of the unknown armor, leaving a burn mark around the edged. Looking further in, he realizes that the spear had indeed reached Kalis actual body, but didn't manage to break through the back part of his armor. Suddenly Kalis external body began to crack and break away. Knuckles quickly jumps off to watch as the large behemoth breaks away, leaving only Kalis main body unconscious in the ice. The whole in his chest slowly begins to heal until it fully closes up. "It looks like we managed to take him out." Knuckles says, tossing Kali over his shoulder. "It seems like he can't use any of his healing abilities during his transformation, so once that ended, his body naturally recovered from the wound since it wasn't too fatal to stop his brains functions. Should we head back to Angel Island and revive Astraea in the meantime?"

"It is alright." Rancor replies to calm Kayl. "My time here will not affect the time of my zone. When I go back, it will place me where I need to be, and when I need to be. I should not be too hasty in my journeys here. I can make more friends and take some time to breath." -------------------------- Kali slams head first into the wall of energy and falls over on the ice. He attempts to get up, however the slippery conditions make him slower to re-stabilize. Knuckles holds focus on Kali and prepares to fire. The servers are the seven chaos. ​Chaos is power, power enriched by the heart. The controller is the one that unifies the chaos. Give me the power to save my friend! Knuckles fires a chaos spear, mixing in color from the silver and purple emerald combine to make bright beam of light as it pierces the chaos energy wall, amplifying its power even more, and then piercing Kali in his chest. The entire blast hits him straight on as he is pushes back drastically and soon looses his footing to fall over. Knuckles drops in exhaustion from the power and tosses Chaos back the emeralds. "Hopefully, that did the trick." he says panting heavily.

Kali struggles to break free as the massive serpent attempts to crush him even more. He gets one arm lose and grabs its side, pulling on it to free his other arm. Once he does, he begins to hit the serpent at every angle to weaken its body, and finally gains enough strength to stop it from constricting any further. He then breaks free and grabs the serpent by the tail, and proceeds to slam it all across the ground. "Then we should get ready." Knuckles says as he looks over to Chaos. "Do you mind if I use your emeralds for a second? This is going to take some power." Chaos lets the emeralds float out of his body as they hover over to Knuckles. He puts one in both his hands and aims at Kali. "As soon as we get the chance, hold him down and I'll take the shot." Knuckles says powering up his energy. The serpent breaks free of Kalis grip and lunges to coil around him once more. However this time, Kali dodges his strike and grabs him by the head. He slams it down into the ground, and then stomps on it repeatedly. He then turns back to the temple, were he sees Spectre, Knuckles, and Chaos all standing. He lets out another roar and charges at them.

"Don't worry Kayl-ne. I know he's the Guardian." Rancor says with a smile. "However he isn't at the emerald now, so I'll have to search his tracks from when he left." ---------------------------------- The serpent lunges at Spectre, however gets blown back from his blast. While still dazed, Kali finally breaks free and grabs the serpent, slamming it through the wall and out of the temple. He crashes into shallow ice water as the serpent thrashes around to regain it's stability. It then strikes at Kali to bite off his arm, however its teeth shatter on impact with his hard skin. Kali then swings his other arm around to get a clear blow on the serpents side, knocking it away. As it falls, it quickly slithers through the ice to keep its momentum and charges again, this time coiling around Kalis body and squeezing him viciously. Knuckles runs over to where Kali was being held by Spectre and searches the rubble from the broken wall. He digs around for a bit, but is successfully able to find Astraeas gem. He puts it away as he then looks out the other hole in the wall to Kali, and then back to Spectre. "If that snake doesn't get the job done, we may have to take him out ourselves." he says.

(....pretty please let him go?) "It is clearly a minimal amount for him to take this long." Trigun begins. "He still does not fully amount to the same abilities as me. Speaking of which," Trigun quickly dissolves, falling out of the bind, and then reappears at the gateway to the temple. "It seems you all have your hands full. And I'm sure you'll be needed me soon once you open that book, so tata for now." he then turns and dashes out the doorway. Knuckles looks over to Kali after Trigun leaves to see the serpent stop attacking the force-field and refocus on Spectre. "Oh boy, looks like he's smarter than we think." Knuckles says.

Kali gets enraged by his failure to get out and begins to yell even more, increasing in mass. He then slams against the force-field again, cracking the side of it. "No offense, but I'd rather him take it out." Knuckles says. "If he uses most of his energy fighting that, it'll be easier for us to calm him down." Trigun looks to Chaos and he continues to stand there with the book floating in his body. With every moment it begins to glow slightly brighter. "To think this thing has even a remote connection to my power is absurd." he says in awe.

"I see," Rancor says, lowering his head in respect. "It must be tough for you here in the future with all that you must deal with. If you need anything, I'll be here for you." ----------------------------- The roars from Kali had caught the serpents attention as it now slammed against the force-field as well. The two clashed constantly against the wall, attempting to reach each other. "He will not regain control until he either exhausts himself, or we kill him." Trigun says. "Letting him bang against that wall of yours could take days at its current state." "I think he's right grandfather." Knuckles says as he walks up. "However in the meantime, we won't let you go until you undo the seal on this book." Trigun looks to it and laughs. "And what makes you think I'll do that. We could sit here all day until that behemoth breaks free and kills us all before I do any of your bidding." Chaos looks at the book for a while and then snatches it out of Knuckles hand. Before he could respond, Chaos eats it and it begins to glow faintly inside his body.
