"Indeed. Sadly everyone has a brother's uncle's friend who saw something in there, and they always vary as to what they saw. Shall we head to the armoury to get some equipment?" ----- "Yeah that's it."
-
"It is said there is something within the fog that takes those who wander too far. No specifics unfortumately. Ghosts would be particularly bothersome if they are there." --' "So do I."
-
"Yes, thankfully. There's a valley about 200 miles north of here. Filled with thick fog supposedly, so very few people go there." -- "I'm really glad to hear you say that."
-
Hope nodded enthusiastically. "Sounds like a plan." ---- Zamy hit the button to go to the ground floor, walking out when the doors opened.
-
"I did consider that possibility. Would you like to help find it so I can lock it up safely? I'm sure I can compensate you for the trouble." ---' Zamy smiled as they gotinto the elevator.
-
"For centuries people around here have gone to search for a book that is supposedly a gateway to another world. Conveniently the myth doesn't say what world, but everyone always forgets that part. Frankly I might find it myself just to prove it's nothing more than a dusty old volume.' ---- Zamy laughed. "Good thing this is only 5 minutes away," she said, heading out.
-
"You can say that again. Thankfully most don't know about the book." --- "Ah but the long walk would be character building."
-
"That explains it." ---- Zamy looked at the address. "It's not far, let's go."
-
"I can only assume they had more pressing concerns. One of them just shows up after the fact and writes things down. Not very helpful honestly." ---- "Then we can go there."
-
"No, but you're much more pleasant than the last. We occassionally get people coming here to try and play king." ---- "Meat in a somewhat thick sauce of varying hotness."
-
"Yes. People have written books about them, and once a n out of Zone traveller tried attacking me with one." ---- Zamy waited patiently.
-
"No, we don't have any robots here. Not yet at least." ---- Zamy went over to the bookshelf in the corner of the room and grabbed the nearest book. "Why don't you have a look in the phone book for something and I'll take you there."
-
5 weeks of freedom.
-
"I can imagine." ---- "Ok. That's not exactly narrowing it down."
-
Hope thought for a moment. "Do you have a man named Robotnik or Eggman here?" "Yes. He controls a kingdom to the south, a constant thorn in my side." ---- "Where do you want to go?"
-
"Thank you. I do try. Is there anyone else you'd like to know of?" ---- "I don't think he wears shorts or shirts, so you already are."
-
"That's certainly possible. I don't remember much about them." ----- "It might be, it isn't that sunny outside."
-
"Then perhaps something else about those two is the constant." ---- Zamy waited patiently.
-
"Well there has to be variation between worlds." ---- "That's fine."
-
"I believe I recognise the names.l from my travels. One is a peasant eastward near the mountains, and another is a peasant to the north. I passed through their villages once or twice." ---- Zamy dried off and changed back into her uniform before waiting in the living room.
-
"It's certainly possible and indeed likely. Ask and I'll try to help." --- Zamy went to her en suite to do the same.
-
"I'm glad to hear." --- Zamy got out of the pool and headed to back to the apartment after gathering her things.
-
"Hello. I trust everything is to your liking?" ---- "Then let's grab a bite to eat."
-
"Well, there she is if you want to." ---- "So, what do you wanna do now?"
-
"You can always ask her highness." ---- Zamy laughed.
