*watches Blaze try to force feed Skye through a telescope* AHAHA fools. Now then, 10 more minutes and my cake will be ready. Last time I had cake was over 50 years ago. I hope I got the recipe right. *puts cassette into stereo, then turns it on* NOOO my cassettes are warped. Now I have only a hollow victory.
-
And if I cross the green wire with the yellow, it should work. *presses fire button* Ah come on I just fixed it. *karate chops keyboard* Hmmm, that usually works. I mean I entered cyberspace by doing that once. Something's not right here. Oh well, I'll go bake my victory cake. Got nothing better to do.
-
I'm not going to drop this on you Knuckles. That'd mean losing my cassette collection which I value far too much. I'm just going to shoot Skye's inferior space station with the Eclipse cannon.... if the Darn thing would fire. Skye. Don't you dare change your orbit. I'm going to start reading this repair manual.
-
Haha. It's like I always say; swords are for women, guns are for wimps. Real men use orbital laser cannons!
-
You call that a space station? THIS is a space station! *chaos controls to the ARK*
-
*drops to knees and starts punching the ground* YOU MANIAC! You blew it up! Darn you! Darn you all to hell!
-
HAHA I like that guy's style.
-
Here *hands over chili dog* Now pay up! Or I'll throw someone at you again. Someone much more aerodynamic than Knuckles.
-
*flicks out shades* Why is everyone trying to blind me today? Excuse me. I sense a business opportunity. CHAOS CONTROL! *chaos controls back with hot dog stand*
-
I can't see your post. I'M BLIND! NOOO!
-
Darn it I'm out of stuff to throw. Hmmm... *walks over to Skye* How much do you weigh?
-
Hey Knuckles, that guy's trying to beat us! *picks up Knuckles and throws him at Dragonlord*
-
*dives at Knuckles and pins him to the ground* Hey someone count to 3. Then you'll all know I've won this
-
*throws coconut at cheerleader* there's plenty more where that came from! Trying to steal my victory? I don't think so

This game is like eating chocolate while drinking cold beer.

Fools. I am the victor here!

Sonic Lost World
Shadow the Hedgehog replied to BlurryDawgo's topic in Multiverses of Sonic the Hedgehog
The Deadly Six don't look overly deadly, that's for sure. I'll try not to ruin anything Skye but I must let you know Shadow the Hedgehog is very disjointed story-wise. And some of the missions are just horrible. Let's just say it isn't exactly Shadow's finest hour. Back to Lost World. The Mach Speed sections actually look fun here, but the fact that it was implied that you can't control the speed at all has me slightly worried that Sonic is going to be slamming into everything, so hopefully either you can slow him down or it'll be set at a level where he won't be traveling at ludicrous speed. -

I'd prefer cartoon antics to anything close to 06 any day of the week. That was an abomination. Anyhow, I understand why they're focusing on the kids, it's definitely less risky because they know that even if the storyline doesn't exactly appeal to adult fans, as long as the gameplay is good it doesn't really matter. I guess it's more a shock to the system because it's been semi-realistic for so long now. I haven't played Colours (I don't own a Wii) so I can't comment on that unfortunately. -

I think they need to find the right balance. The threat should be serious and credible otherwise it ruins the whole tension of the scenario, but at the same time you need to have Sonic's brand of cockiness and it can't be all doom and gloom. I know everyone and their dog points to the Adventure series, but it's a good illustration, you have Dr Eggman destroying an entire city with a water god, and then threatening to destroy the Earth with a space cannon. Those are credible threats, but it doesn't go over board. You have also interesting plots in both games involving the Echidnas and Shadow respectively. Though all this being said I will admit I like how Eggman has gotten more comical, he really does put the mad in mad scientist. Again, it's all about balance. -

Although I'd love for Crush 40 to come back, I don't think they will for this game. I can't imagine their music going well with the kiddish, cartoony style. Same reason only Tails, Knuckles and Amy are appearing. I imagine someone like Shadow would look horribly out of place in this world. He'd probably have a localised raincloud. And by spinoff I mean in terms of the overall style and gameplay, not the story. I can't imagine this gameplay and art style being used in another Sonic game except in a sequel to this. Same with Heroes, although I liked the gameplay, I'd only want to see it again in Sonic Heroes 2. -

Yeah I'm with you there. Nothing stood out for me, which is worrying considering this is a Sonic game. But as you say, we only saw 3 stages, and people were talking over them, so hopefully there will be some memorable ones in there. -

Well honeycomb goes into lots of desserts and of course the Crunchie. As for the gameplay. I actually like the look of it, the ability to control your running looks interesting, as does the parkour system. It seems like there is still a sense of speed and I like the alternate paths. As long as this is a spinoff, I'm fine with it. It looks fun but I absolutely don't want it to be the future of Sonic games. Same with the graphics, which I'm still not a huge fan of. It looks weird seeing as we've had an Adventure style for over a decade, and which I honestly prefer, though I can see where they're going with the vibrant, cartoony look, it makes me think of the old Mega Drive games, and especially the Sonic CD stages in terms of how colourful they are. Also, what are your opinions on the music? -
The Xbox One looks awful. Have to connect to the internet every 24 hours. Used games only if the publisher feels like it, which is basically saying, no "used games", becuase w all know publishers hate the used market. Even then it's only to a 'participating retailer' because of course, I don't want to be able to lend or sell a game to a friend. If Sony does anything like this, it's the Wii U for me.
-
Yeah, to be honest the second they revealed the Xbox One they lost the hardcore gamer because they kept going on about how it's an entertainment hub and not a games console. I buy a console to play games, not to watch TV and I don't need a Kinect to change the channel, I can use my TV remote. They seem to be appealing to a non existent group of people.

Third Nintendo-Exclusive Title This Year?
Shadow the Hedgehog replied to Th3AntiGuardian's topic in Multiverses of Sonic the Hedgehog
To be fair Rush Adventure wasn't really a pirate game in the sense that I don't remember Sonic doing much swashbuckling. i don't even think he got a hat. Not much of a pirate. So a storybook possibly tying in with the new Sonic Universe could be interesting. Gameplay wise, someone in the Lost World thread mentioned boarding ships by boosting across the water and then taking on the crew, if I remember correctly. That definitely sounds like it'd be fun. I'm guessing the game would switch between traditional platforming and combat sections with a cutlass or something. And seeing as this would be on the Wii U the controls would definitely be much better as you have a control pad instead of motion controls. As for the final sports game, I'm personally hoping for something similar to Sonic the Fighters, but obviously with the modern cast. Failing that, while I wouldn't mind seeing another racing game it'd be a little strange considering Transformed only came out last November. They've still yet to release the DLC characters for it. -

The gameplay definitely looks good. It seems they've managed to keep the sense of speed alive while having these rotating worlds. I like the little ghost effect as Sonic runs fast. It reminds me of the Advance games when you built up enough speed. As for the actual look it's looks a little too Nintendo-y for my liking. I like how vibrant the stage looks but there's just something off. I can't put my finger on it. It's almost too vibrant. Same for the story really. These Deadly Six don't seem very deadly. Hopefully this is just for the Nintendo partnership. I'd like to see the next main series Sonic game actually have a good, somewhat serious story, like the old Adventure Games or Shadow's story in 06 (the only semi-decent one in that game). And as for Eggman and Sonic teaming up, for some reason I think there's going to be a mystery 7th member of the Deadly Six or maybe even a third party who acts as the final boss for Sonic and Eggman, who would naturally go back to being mortal enemies once the threat is over. Or they could just go for the obvious "Eggman's stabbed you in the back".
