"Very well then," replied Crowley as he teleported outside. --- Once Shadow had cleaned his cuts he sat down on a chair next to Rouge. "Anything happen while I was gone?" he asked. "No. Though in our conversation Mina did mention she was afraid of you." "I'm not surprised. Why do you mention it?" "She asked me to tell you about it." Shadow sighed. "Fine I'll see what I can do at some point, but right now we need to focus on you. How're you feeling?" "Still like I've got a cramp all over my body, but it's better."

"I see. Then why are we running away?" --- "Thank you," replied Rouge as Shadow walked in. "How'd it go- you're bleeding!" "It's just a cut. Had a run in with some nut with a whip, and Crowley for that matter. But we delivered the letter at least. Melody even had us bring back current Red," replied Shadow as he dabbed some tissue to soak up the blood.

Crowley jumped up and headed over to Red. "What's happened now?" he asked. --- "Ok. It's been nice talking to you," said Rouge.

Shadow got out of the lift and entered hotel room. --- "I'm sure they did, it didn't sound like sad shrieking."

Shadow decided to head up via the elevator to give Melody some time. --- "It sounds like your sister's back. I think the whole world heard her."

Shadow nodded and chaos controlled them outside the hotel. --- "That's the joy of being young. Plenty of time to think."

They found themselves back in the lab, a lone researcher turning from his work upon hearing Melody before shrugging and turning back. --- "Well at this stage there's little else I can do."

"Here we are. Activating now." Hope hit the button on her belt and tje group was transported back to the prime zone. --- "Not really, I'll be honest. I'm just taking what comes at me."

"I suppose it would." --- "Good to hear."

"No, I just didn't know I had it in me to act so ruthlessly. I'm just glad it was an act." --- "I am, but in case I'd bet I'm right."

"Heh yeah. I even scared mtself a bit there," replied Hope with a hint of nervousness. --- "And now you understand why I'll never be having any."

Alicia looked at Hope and stopped her yelling, utterly terrified. "Robotnik? Yes I know of you and your vile experiments. Release Alicia and no harm will come to you," said Crowley. Shadow tied the whip around Alicia's hands and pushed her towards him. Crowley caught her and walked off, somewhat glad he hadn't lost his job. "Well that went better than I thought it would," said Shadow. --- If Rouge was in a position to shudder, she would have. "Only thing worse than that would be finding them already touching them."

Crowley glared at Melody. "I fail to see the humour little girl. You there, imposter. Unhand Alicia and we shall take our-". He was cut off by Alicia screaming "kill them!" at him. Hope stepped in front of Alicia and did her best to act as evil as possible, waving her tazer around. "You know, this little device could cause you a tremendous amount of pain. I hear if applied directly above the neck, it can cause paralysis, shall we find out Alicia?" she said in a cold yet innocent voice as she pressed the tazer against Alicia's neck. ---- "Yeah but it's not long enough. Besides, they'd probably want my jewels. And that's just not happening."

Alicia had a smug look on her face as another figure stepped into view, muttering "why did I take this job?" to himself. Shadow rolled his eyes when he saw Crowley and yanked the whip, pulling Alicia towards him. --- "That's not going to happen. I've got too much to live for."

"Clearly you haven't been keeping up with events; I've found someone else, so if you do anything to me he'll rip you to pieces," retorted Alicia.

"Not if I do first," said Alicia as she whipped Shadow around the arm again, this time it wrapped around it. "What is this, a family outing? A bat, a mongoose and a human? You've got issues." As she berated him Shadow was waiting for the right momemt to yank the whip towards him. --- "You can say that again. It's part of why Red scares me at times. We're total opposites; she's all motherly, and well, I'd never give up my unmatchable beauty giving birth to a whiny brat."

Hope pulled out her tazer as Shadow angrily growled, recognising the figure. "Some people just can't take a joke," he muttered as they stepped out of the shadows revealing an annoyed Alicia Acorn. ---- "Sure are, you won't see me with any of them."

Aa the group progressed Shadow stopped as he was struck across the face and arm by something as a figure appeared from behind a tree. --- "Probably, but with kids you never know."

"Good point, but there's no guarantee you'd actually like each other."

"Yeah, they really do. I'm sure you'll find a friend here too. Hopefully one that actually lives here."

"I'm sure they won't, but if they do Shadow can handle it. He won't let anything happen to Hope or Melody."
