Shadow the Hedgehog

Zamy instantly took the flame away with a smug expression, then turned and walked back to her colleagues. "Were you really going to go through with it?" asked Zhadow. "Not a chance," she replied quietly.

"That doesn't sound like begging," said Zamy, inching the the flame slightly closer, still smiling.

"Just a little mind game," said Zamy before she approached 'Miley'. She lifted her right boot up and adjusted the rocket to a suitable flame. "Funny how the tables have turned isn't it? Well you see, this flame will burn your nerves shut. You won't feel anything to begin with, though you certainly will smell it. And that's when the pain will start. I'm going to assume you won't to do that, and it's real easy to do so. You just have to beg."

Zamy pondered for a moment. "I do see your point Ziona. Though there is one little thing I need to do first."

"Haunt me? What will haunt me will be knowing that he'll be kept comfortable in Zone Jail with the possibility of breaking out and attacking even more people."

"She won't be wrecking her career. If she decides to take care of him, as far as we're concerned it was self defense after he tried to attack again," said Zhadow. "He messed with my memories so much I'm struggling to tell what's real and what's not," said Zamy.

Zamy got to her feet and looked at Miles stone faced. "This changes nothing," she said as she looked down at the laser pistol.

"Not at the moment thanks," replied Zamy before seeing the elder Miles' last ditch attack. She grabbed Zhadow's sidearm and fired a laser at older Miles' arms.

Zamy managed a smile. "Yes it is. Friends look out for each other."

"You're not him. If anything you helped me."

"It's fine, it's not your fault Miles," repliee Zamy.

Zhadow reached Zamy just after the medic, who proceeded to check her for any injuries. The medic confirmed that physically she wasn't in too bad of a condition.

"I just had a freak violate the privacy of my mind. So no I'm not," replied Zamy before the older Miles unleashed the shockwave, which sent her skidding along the ground towards the arriving Zone Cops.

Zamy gave a groan as she regained control, then started to fall towards the ground. Seeing Miles was now out of here, Zhadow and the remaining uninjured men rushed over to set up a shot. --- Shadow found a small room with a computer inside it. He noticed a small light on the monitor so began to boot up the PC.

Zamy concentrated when she heard young Miles communicating with her. "Got it. I can't wait to get this creep out of my head so he can be stopped once and for all." She then focused on the image of Miles' parents from the photograph. She didn't twist it or anything. It was the same, happy memory.

Zamy continued by thinking about the false memory Miles implanted before about her friend betraying her, and replaced those involved with Miles, anti-Sonic and Merlin. Hopefully it'd strike close to home.

Zamy then changed the scene she was imagining to one of Miles and Merlin. Miles was attempting to cast a spell, but was only partially successful each time. And each time he failed, Miles used the correct spell on him, resulting in a painful shock.

Zamy knew she had to distract Miles before he injured anymore of the others. She focused on the image of Mina berating and beating Miles in the future, having picked up on her future appearence whilst Miles was tampering with her mind. She had no idea if it was real or not, but hoped it'd throw him off.

Zamy was still in a confused state, but the pressure on her mind was relieved slightly. "Why did it have to be him who left?" she thought to herself.

If Zamy could scream she would have. Given there were now 3 people in her mind, it was starting to overload "Zhadow, do you have change for 10... wait that was years ago.... Huh, did I just move my knight...wait, what?... thanks for the gifts guys, it's been a great birthd..." Zamy continued as memories came to the front of her mind, as if happening right then.

"Good luck with that. Mina's a completely different person who finds your ideals repugnant. I even hear she has an interest in your would be assassin. He's certainly more of a man than you are," continued Zamy.

"Oh wow, you took control of a fragmented planet. Moebius has a new ruler every week, you're far from impressive. Which is exactly what Mina saw in you, a little welp she could manipulate to her heart's content. Oh by the way, she's been erased from time, along with your whole 'rule'. Just thought you should know," thought Zamy with a hint of spite.

"What the? No that's.... oh, so you know from personal experience do you, hmmm? No wonder you're so bitter. You're Moebius' punching bag, and yet you still think you're above everyone else. You're nothing."

Zamy struggled to deal with the incoming memories. For every one she proved false another one appeared: she needed a new strategy. Taking a deep breath she focused entirely on her mind. She knew Miles would take control of her body, but it wouldn't be complete, and she could focus on getting him out of her head.
