(ooc: Curse you mobile, spoiling it for everyone! :P ) "Well, if I remember correctly you were meant to stay with us until the were-hog problem is fixed, which it has been now. So you're back on vacation!" Skye gave a large yawn, and he head suddenly dropped and snapped back up as, for an instant, he dropped off to sleep. "Uh, it's been a long day. I better hide some cake for Melody then head to bed. Goodnight Uncle Shadow."

"No problem. Any time. Maybe you should take your friend Rouge on a camping trip to practice a bit?"

A few minutes later Skye returned, dragging with him what appeared to be a fully packed rucksack of camping gear. "Ok, we'll start with a few simple meals," Skye began, kneeling down and setting up the portable stove. (ooc: and we better move to montage mode here, cause I know nothing about camping or cooking for camping.)

"Ok, I'll go and find a camping stove. It'll be easier to teach you with the right equipment." Skye scampered out of the kitchen.

"Heh heh. Yeah, I guess you're right. And I'd never change my name, even if I had the chance. Oh hey, wasn't I gonna teach you some camping recipes?"

Darn it Tails, what happened? You forgot how to fight in the last 5 years or something?

"Poetic? Huh, never thought of it like that." --------- "Oooh. What's a Keeper? Are they the good guys?"

"I suppose so Shadow. I never really though about that. Though, I never really had many friends." Skye then looked confused at Glen. "But, uh, Glen is a boy's name. Unless it's short for something?" ---------------------------------------------------------- "And? Did he?" Melody asked, intrigued. (ooc: no 40K for this kid. That would make her worse than she already is.)

"But you will keep meeting new people won't you? So there'll always be someone there you care about?"

(ooc: nope, don;t get the song reference.) "Yeah, it does should worse for them Glad I'm a boy, even if I have a bloody girls name. So Shadow, you've never been a kid, but you'll never grow older. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" --------------------------------------------------- Melody listened to the story with intense concentration. (ooc: you're call, I don't mind either way. You could just give the highlights if you have something in mind, or we could just gloss over it.)

(ooc: I know, I was just saying it happened fast.) I really don't mind. There's all sorts of stories in this Zone that I'll never have heard before. Something nice, but exciting!" ----------------------------------- "So Glen, you're saying it's this limbo time is worse for girls than boy's? Wait, Shadow... It never happened to you? Does that mean you've never been a kid?"

Which would work with the taste removing thing.

(ooc: Yikes, all she did was sleep there one night and already she's messed it up?) A few minutes passed before Melody returned, looking like she hadn't slowed down to dry herself properly. "Ok, what's the story about?" ------------------------------------------------------------- "Hey Shadow?" asked Skye, "What causes all these things anyway? Is it some kind of mind control?"

Someone who badly needed rid of a foul taste in their mouth?

"Oh no, you're not getting out of telling me a story. I'll be right back!" Melody sped off to wash.

"Thanks Dad. It'll be good to get back out in the fresh air with needing to worry about monsters or Zone Cops. And there really, better be some of that cake left, or I'll..." --------------------------------------------- "Oh boy. I think I might want to build myself a box to hide in for a few years. She's bad enough without adding all that on top.... Though I suppose she has been having the mood swings since she... um... since she was rescued."

"Well, you have banned pranking in the house, and we're not allowed outside alone, so I guess I can't really don't do anything," Melody mused, sounding upset. Then she turned and gave Locke a wide grin. "Nah, don't worry I wasn't being serious at all. Just messing with you there, and me and Skye were only fooling around. But I will be very upset if it does disappear." ---------------------------------------------- Back in the kitchen Skye's ears, now back to normal, perked up at Shadow's muttered remark. "What do you mean Shadow. She can't get any worse, can she?"

"Oh, okay Dad. I leave it for now. But Skye, I will kill you if it's all gone when I wake up tomorrow." Melody started to leave the kitchen, while Skye continued eating his own pudding, seemingly unphased by Melody's threat.

"Finished. Can I have another slice Skye?" "Sorry Melody, not everyone's had a slice yet, and I want to save some for tomorrow." "Aww, come on." "No." "Please?" "No." (ooc: repeat the last two lines ad infinitum) For a second Melody's hand went towards her knife, in order to move from pleading with her brother to threatening him, then she caught herself and grabbed the table tightly instead, resuming her pleading.

"Ok, got it. Only use a knife that smaller than the ones on the table." Melody smiled and happily tucked into her cake, while Skye sat down, slowly savouring his own slice. (ooc: and Melody might still be awake but I'm off to sleep night. Night everyone.)

"I'll be fine. It's already clearing up. I just need to wait a bit. This isn't the first time it's happened." "Sorry Dad. I though as there was already knives on the table another wouldn't make a difference."

"I think that was a compliment you said. Thank's Shadow," Skye smiled, then muttered 'Stupid ringing ears' to himself as he cut his own slice. Melody rushed over, using her own knife to cut a slice, which was somewhat larger than everyone else's.

"Huh? Sorry my ears are ringing, and it's difficult to hear. They're kinda sensitive. Heck, one time Melody managed to hit a pitch that made them bleed. Thankfully not this time." Skye pulled the oven mits back on and opened the cooker. "Now, who want's cake? Erm, stick you hand up as I might not hear you." (ooc: Look back, wayyy before even the first g-wave (I think) Skye mentioned having sensitive ears!)

"Aww, thank's Dad." Skye, who'd finished eating, went to take the cake out of the oven, touching his ears gingerly as he did so. "Phew, no sign of blood this time," he muttered to himself.
