"I could do with something to drink," muttered Skye to himself as he made his way to the kitchen, not aware Tikal was behind him. ----------- "Maybe not. But he shouldn't be so touchy about something that harmless," replied Melody. ----------- "It's either that or try and sneak it onto his neck," said Ziona. ----------- "Heh heh. No. Very few people are fire-proof Spark. Even those that have fire powers are rarely completely fireproof," said Anna as she made her way back to the infirmary. (ooc: Just as long as you aren't planing on pulling a full heal on Melody Spark. That would kinda ruin the plot arc I'd set up! :P ) ----------- Miles laughed. "I finally meet someone my age withe the same interests, and they've sworn an oath to kill me. Just my luck."

"Oh boy that was embarrassing," muttered Skye to himself out in the corridor as he leaned against the wall. ----------- Melody was laughing a little to herself, somewhat amused by her brother's discomfort. ----------- "We'll need to make it required, otherwise I can't see him just putting it on. But I'll see what I can do," said Ziona as she got ready to leave. ---------- "Good. And now you've seen the swimming pool, where do you want to go now?" asked Anna. ---------- "It might sound strange, but I'd just like to talk to him. But I don't think he'll even get over... whatever it was that drives his hatred of me," said Miles.

"And talking of Skye..." began Miles, but then he shook his head. "No. It would never happen."

"Thank's Spark I'll do that," said Anna. "And if you ever need anything just give me a shout. Except for swimming lessons. I think those might be a lost cause!" ------------- "If they didn't blur then Anna wouldn't be staying here," said Miles. "Or Skye, or Melody."

"Mmm, that was nice and toasty. Thank you Spark," said Anna smiling.

"Yeah, ready!" said Anna, a little nervous and hoping Spark was correct with them not burning anything. After all, he didn't seem to realize that most people couldn't swim in lava.... ----------- "Yes. The Moebius equivalent of Angel Island is an underwater city," explained Miles. "Mobius and Moebius aren't a direct good/evil dichotomy as people seem to think. For instance, our Knuckles is still 'good', just a pacifist."

"That'll be nice! And make up for the fact the reason I'm wet in the first place is cause you went into the pool," gently teased Anna ------------- "I suppose that had to happen at somepoint," replied Miles taking a last look around. "A flying island is way better than an underwater city," he muttered to himself.

"I suppose I must be boring you with my babbling," said Miles.

Skye attempted to quietly leave the room. -------------- "If Miles knows what it is, I doubt he'll be willing to wear it," said Ziona. -------------- "As long as you're aren't suggesting setting yourself on fire. We're still in a library, and I dunno of the books are fire-proof!" said Anna

Anna laughed. "Sorry, I'm not fireproof!" ------------ "I wouldn't recommend it either. The lot of us messed it up pretty bad, and then when Scourge came back.."

"It wasn't," said Miles. "Not until Scourge, well, Sonic back then, me and the rest of the gang started tearing the place up a few years back. Not that'd I'd call it a paradise either before then. Stagnant springs to mind."

Miles looked at her in shock and surprise for a moment. "Oh, sorry. Of course. I'm just too used to dealing with so called 'cops' on Moebius. Anyone with integrity didn't last during the past few years," he explained.

Anna stopped in her tracks. "Oh... Yeah, no wonder you're having trouble with that. I doubt there's anything we can do unless you want me to pull you around the pool. You don't get 'non-wet' swimming." She went to the poolside and sat down. "But if you remember that you can swim, that means you must have learned before you gained your fire powers."

Miles couldn't help but smirk. "Sorry, but I'm not in a bribing mood."

"What makes you say that?" asked Anna as she looked around, and spotted a promise looking cabinet. ------------ "That you're not being paid enough for this job?" suggested Miles dryly.

"There's gotta be some nearby," said Anna as she pulled herself out of the pool. "Did you see an equipment locker for the pool anywhere?" ----------- Miles gave a strangled laugh. "Either than an insane understatement, or you're seriously jaded."

Anna swum over and helped Spark back to the side. "I think we better find a float for you. You can hold it in your hands, then you just need to worry about your legs." ------------ Miles sighed and stared out across the shore line. "So in which timeline did I mess up worse?"

"Right, well start with something simple," began Anna as she started to show and talk Spark through a front crawl. --------------- "I somehow guess he won't tell me," commented Miles.

"And do you know what caused everything to fall apart in the first place. Why Skye came to this point in time?" Miles asked. ---------- Anna smiled. "Okay then, just follow my lead," she said as she slid back into the pool.

"I think Skye is judging himself now! You shouldn't have called it 'dressing up' little brother!" chuckled Melody. ----------- "Red suits you," laughed Anna as she sat on the side of the pool. "I'm already soaking wet, so if you want I can show you how to swim and see if anything comes back?" she offered ----------- "As long as Shadow isn't going to be trying for a repeat performance," commented Miles. "The whole universe? That's... impressive." Miles voice contained something that sounded almost like pride. "I guess crazed obsessions must run in the family then. Is Anna now replacing the missing sister, or was it Melody and she returned another way?"

"Difficult when people are either laughing at me or disapproving of me," replied Skye. ---------- "It would appear not, why did you think that?" asked the sodden Anna.

"What did he do? How did Skye end up in the past with a Zone Cop escort?" asked Miles.

Skye was now bright red and staring intently at his boots. "Maybe, but if you disapprove of what he does I doubt he'll do it," said Melody. ----------- "You can't even swim?" exclaimed Anna. She looked around, sighed, and jumped into the pool to help Spark out. ------------ "Think of it as doing a favor for Skye then. If I'm out of reach, he might go after him. And from what I've seen of that kid, he's closer to me than anyone would want to admit."
