Varies each game of course, but most of the time a starter,a flying pokemon, a water pokemon if I didn't choose water starter and that's it for basics. But pokemon I absolutely use most of the time are Froslass, Gardevoir, Flygon, Lucario, Aegislash and Blaziken (My current X team too.)
