    What do you guys think has been some of the best we've seen of Sonic this year, along with some of the worst? For me, the best news includes Sonic 2017 and mania.

     

    The worst comes from things mostly because of the fan base, the bad side at least. I don't mean to harp on them all the time, but when a fan base makes fun of a cancer survivor and causes drama every other week, you will have problems...

    sorry about that, I can respect your opinion, I'm just getting angry at Flynn because he has all these other projects he's doing yet he doesn't want to let someone like Evan Stanley take over as head writer. I could go on about this for a while but it's not the right place to argue, and I've done enough on DA.

    BUMP. Yeah. I know I'm double posting but since the new comic is up... wanted to say... I like it... but it's probably gonna get a little predictable for me

    Thing is, no matter who's in charge of writing the comics, SEGA and Archie would still be using the comic to advertise and promote the game series first and foremost.

    That's what these comics are meant to be: an exciting and entertaining advertisement for the Sonic games, but an advertisement nonetheless. It's the same with other comics, like IDW's Transformers series and more.

    It felt like it's own thing however back before Flynn came along and randomly plopped game elements into it, and it should be it's own thing. Ken wanted to make it a continuation of SATAM, and he did a good job at that.

    Flynn comes from a fan fiction background not even that good and full of stuff like teletubbies meet SATAM and his comic other M. I'm not going to Keep believe a guy who keeps saying stuff like "It's just a comic about a cartoon hedgehog running around" and thanking Sonic for keeping him having a job instead of begin glad the series is still around and doing good.

    I feel like the comic is at risk anyway. No new original stories, setting itself a part from the game, and to quote someone from the anti-archie sonic group

     

    When your head writer calls the comic just an ad, it's time to get a new writer.

    I hate to tell you guys this but Sega Of America isn't so pleased with the idea of the freedom fighters in the comics. What SOA wants is the comics to be more like the games because their tired of people wondering where the FF are and wanting to see Sonic and Sally together. 

    With all these lawsuits, Archie really isn't able to defend or fight this, and while Ian Flynn did save them the 1st time around, SOA will be getting their way. As for how I know this, this comes from conversations from my friend who's talked to people at Sega. This is also why I believe Ian has shot himself in the foot by defending them, as Sega may not want to make him write a game now because they think he'll want the FF in it.

    Well... I have to agree with Skye even having read the story. I feel the characters are too set in which side they are to make a choice. Like I really can't see anyone who isn't team dark debating about siding with GUN over the freedom fighters. It's too out of character

    True, I remember someone on Archie Sonic Online (and sorry if I'm not allowed to mention there name) said Team Dark might stay nurtural or try to, but knowing Shadow and Knuckles it will be a reason to beat each other up again.

    Haven't read the latest comic yet, but I doubt it'll come down to 'choosing sides' as it will be Team Dark with GUN and everyone else against them.  But GUN has always been more greyscale then the others.  They're not bad, just more a 'end justify the means' group.

    Eh, I kind of hope it goes otherwise. Sega mandates don't say anything about having similar stories to the ones from the reboot and I'm too impatient to wait for LHT to know what the original more lengthy version of House of Cards was going to be like.

    Either way I like the idea and I really hope Ian or the powers may be make it happen. We need anther good build up to a big story like panic in the sky.

    In the latest Sonic Universe comic, there was a hint that King Max would be dissapointed if GUN did something questionable, and there's the whole "Snively begin a part of gun" they may bring back some bad blood. Do you guys think that this may be a hint to GUN vs. the freedom fighters in a captain America or uncut version of "House of Cards" (Where everyone chooses sides and where they stand.)

    I wouldn't mind if it was either of the two. I don't really like GUN as they just seem to have a vibe of begin the bad guy. Let's also not forget all the cars there big dumb truck destroyed in Sonic Adventure 2.

    We did sorta have that with Generations.  *sighs* So close to a comeback there.  Unleashed: Not bad/Good but the concept was too easy to make fun of.  Colours: Good but a little under the radar.  Generations: Great.  Lost World: *sighs*

    We were so close to anther good game...

    They never mentioned her

    My theories are... she's been arrested for stalking the king or she had a breakdown about Sonic "dying" or marrying someone else and was put away

    But most likely she met someone who wasn't Sonic and settled down

    I'd rather she had just met someone else. I know Amy is crazy but having her have a breakdown seems to cruel for even her. At the least her and Ash getting together sounds like a good idea.
