The echidna ponders for a moment. "I'm sorry, I was actually looking for someone myself, and was not paying attention to my surroundings. Perhaps I can assist you in finding your lost one?" he offers politely.

The echidna pauses for a moment, unsure of his wrong doings. ------------------------- After looking through, Astraea begins to read out the book. Novanus Log 1 It has been reported that the earth elements have been seen with a strange creature running around. It looks to be non-hostile, however possess great power. It never attacks us, however it always helps defend, and even tries to communicate with the attackers. It was even brought to the secret meeting among elemental scientist. Upon the next meeting, I must inquire it to learn its origins and motives. Before Astraea can finish the next few pages, the rubble of the temple begin to cave in as Trigun is seen pulling himself out the wreckage. "Humph, and here I thought you were down for the count." Kali says, standing up ready to fight. "You'd be surprised....in our difference of power boy..." Trigun says, continuing to regenerate parts of his body with water as he emerges.

(ooc: then by the power in my lazy posting, I resummon Ikiryo, the spirit of Knuckles's vengance back into the world of Mobius!!) The echidna turns around to see the young child. "Ah, excuse me miss. I had not noticed you behind me." he says as he straightens his bow tie.

(ooc: And since I have the time, back into the story I go! Also Liza, if you want a knuckles in a tuxedo, I do have a spare that can fill the role) Astraea opens the book and looks inside. "What language is this?" Kali asks. "It's our own." She responds. "However the text is generally unreadable between elements as a security precaution. Let me skim through and see what it says."

Just as Spectre exits the temple, it gets engulfed in a massive spiral of fire and burns down. Everyone looks at the site before them, and then turns to Astraea. "It's not my fault." she pleads. "All of our buildings are encrypted with detonating flames in case we're overrun. It's so that nothing if left of our existence there that could give the enemy an upper hand." "Except for your flame proof books?" Kali says holding it up. "Not even. Nothing should be left. There must be something really important in there for it to be saved like that."

Knuckles and Chaos began running to the staircase as they then saw a bright light, with Kali and Astraea running for their lives. "Get out of the temple now!!!" she yells as they speed by and out the door. Knuckles and Chaos turn back around to see the large explosion following behind. "This seems like our cue to get out." Knuckles says, backing up. Chaos gives a nod and the two start to run as well.

Knuckles does as his grandfather tells him and begins making energy domes. Meanwhile, Chaos begins to transform as his arm grows in size. Once complete he looks around and begins breaking through forcefield and grabs hold of some of the water warriors. He then starts to absorb them one by one. "Amazing."Knuckles says as he releases the energy field to get Chaos out and grab hold of others. --------------------------------- Kali no longer waits. He rushes up the altar and confronts Trigun, who dodges his punch and jabs him in the gut. Kali hardens his rib cage and takes the blow full on. He regains his poise and swings again, this time knocking the book out of Triguns hands. As he turns to try and grab it back, Astraea slides through and grabs the book. "NO!" Trigun yells as she then starts to run back. He turns to hit Kali, but he no longer tried to fight. He backs up from Triguns blow and punches one of the pillars holding up the ceiling. He then runs after Astraea as the room begins to crumble. "Did you lose him?" Astraea says as Kali catches up. "I think so, I collapsed the room." he responds "You did what!?" she yells. As they both turn back, they see a large inferno approaching behind them quickly.

Kali and Astraea rush down the hallway to enter a room with an altar in the center, surrounded by fire. Trigun stands in the middle holding a red book. "Trigun stop!" Kali yells, making him turn around. "Marvelous is it not?" Trigun says as he tossed the book into the fire. Kali and Astraea stop in their tracks for a moment. However Trigun then swipes at the fire and pulls the book out once more. "No matter what flame you throw at it, it doesn't burn. Truly a book of the elements. ----------------------------- Chaos and Knuckles continue to fight on, however with each enemy they defeat, they come back in greater numbers. As they begin to get overwhelmed, Knuckles grabs one and uses it as a battering ram into the others, crashing against the wall. As it begins to crumble away, he brushes off some rocks to reveal a chaos emerald. "That's it." he says to himself. He quickly grabs the emerald and turns. "Grandfather! Give this to chaos quick!" he yells as he throws the emerald and is overwhelmed by more warriors.

"Sorry rodent, but I would like to see this "book" for myself." Trigun says as he begins dripping water from his hands. As each drop hits the ground, it begins to grow and form into human like figures, wielding all sorts of weapons. "A marvelous ability it is, being able to craft whatever I wish from my hands. Now then, ta-ta for now." he then turns into water and slips under everyone, going down the staircase. "Astraea! We can't let him find that book first!" Kali yells, knocking one of the water warriors over and rushing down the stairs. Astraea jumps over the warrior as well and rushes through. As Knuckels and Chaos try to catch up, the warriors surround them, continuing to build in numbers. He punches one in the chest, knocking it into pieces, as those then reform, creating even more. "Looks like we'll have to hold them off until Kali and Astraea catch that guy." Knuckles says, backing up closer to Spectre.

Listening to Spectres words, Kali looks around to the floor as he see's a red symbol. "Astraea, come look at this." he says, waving her over. She looks at the symbol carefully. "This is our peoples lock." she says suprised. As hse places her hand on it, it glows brightly and the stone floor begins to burn away, revealing a staircase. "Looks like what we need is down there." Knuckles says. Suddenly there a slow clap is heard from near the entrance. "Bravo friends. You seem to have uncovered something valuable." Trigun says, emerging from the entrance with an echoing voice.

Astraea and Kali both nod and run to the temple gate. As they open the old door, they enter into a large open room with nothing in it. "What is this? No doors? No Hallways? Just a massive box." Astraea says dissapointed. "Don't give your hopes up." Kali responds. "If these books are important as they say, it may just be another secret we need to unlock. Let's search around for a secret entrance. ----------------------------------------- From the bushes behind them, Trigun watches as the group entered the temple. He then slowly begins to follow, behind sensing range until his opportune moment.

Astrea and Kali look out to the open land. "This is beautiful." Kali says astonished. "Your world is so free and nourished. "You'd be surprised if you entered Eggman-land." Knuckles replies. "Is it full of volcanoes and fire?" Astraea asks. "At this point, I wish." Chaos continues to stare blankly into the wild life.
