It seems I'll start out the next set. ONE

Knuckles gives his grandfather a nod and walks toward the shrine. ---------------------------------- Chaos enters New Mobotropolis as he is astounded by the size of it. He looks all around him and then back towards the main center. "This is going to be a new adventure." he says to himself. --------------------------------- Astraea and Kali look out over the land as they sit on Angel Islands edge. "You know, if you really want to start somewhere, we never fully experienced everything this island has to offer." Astraea says. Kali turns to her and then back out to the distance land. "I guess you have a point. Best to know about where it all began for us, before going out into such a large world." "Then shall we be on our way?" Astraea says as she puts her hand over Kalis. "Yeah...I guess so." (ooc: well I'm out of ideas until Liza comes back or I merge in with another group in a little bit XD)

"I'm actually unsure." Knuckles replies to his grandfather. "For now, I guess I'll take some time to rest and meditate at the shrine, but I believe something somewhere will call for me when the time is right." ------------------------------ Chaos lands in a small pond as he hits the ground. He gets out and surveys the area, seeing that is he nearby the city of Mobotropolis that he always hears of. He decides to start his search there.

Knuckles can only give his grandfather a smile, as now he has 2 of his family members back into his life again. --------------------------- Chaos reaches the edge of the island as he looks out onto the mainland. His only thought now was to travel to New Mobotropolis and see what information he can scoop up. He takes a leap off the edge and falls down towards a mainland lake. ------------------------------ Kali and Astraea head back to the volcano as Astraea needed to replenish herself of power after the fight. Kali waits outside the cave for her as she enters and dives into the dormant pool of magma. After a while, she fully feels recovered and exits once more. "You all set to go?" Kali asks her "I am now, but what about you?" she says back. "This land is covered in nature. I'll always have energy to channel."

Chaos thinks for a moment and gives Spectre a nod. He then looks to the gem that now resides in his chest and departs from the group, saying bye and good luck. Kali then turns to Astraea. "Shall we get going as well?" he says to her. "Ugh, fine. Where are we going to start?" she replies. "Anywhere." he says back as he grabs her hand. She gives a small smile and the two say their goodbyes to the Guardians as well. Knuckles looks up into the sky. "That was quite the journey, but it's good to have you back in our world again grandfather."

"Quite so." Chaos replies to Spectre. "Never the less. Now that he is taken care of and you two seem to be on mutual terms, what is your goal now?" "There's only so much left to do when you put it vaguely." Kali responds. "We'll travel this world, See all that it harbors, and then we'll find the hidden society of wind and see how history truly played out." "Can't we look for the wind elementals first?" Astraea complains. Kali looks to her with a smile. "I promise you I'l make it worth it." he then turns back to Chaos. "What about you? Will you return to the Master Emerald?" "Afraid not my friend." Chaos says looking out. "My companion has gone missing for quite some time now. I do believe I should go search for her while I still have the opportunity and power." "I wish good luck to you all then." Knuckles says to them. "I'm going to head out on my own way as well. What about you grandfather?"

"Spectre is correct." Chaos says as he sees him approach. "Of course." Astraea realizes. "If Chaos and Trigun shared the same elemental capabilities to some degree, Trigun must have attempted to absorb him and Chaos countered it." "That is also correct. "Chaos says. "Each time he used an attack on me, I gained more knowledge of his ability. Because he had to transform himself to water to conjure and manipulate it, I could use my own power to absorb him more than he could absorb me. Now I know all of his techniques and abilities." "But, where is his gem?" Kali asks. "I hold onto it now. However he cannot be reborn as I've sealed it inside my body. His only escape now would be to end my life and revive him the way one normally would." "so it's finally over." Kali says, sitting down. Astraea gives a look to him. "Not exactly." she says. kali gives her a quick look of confusion however understands what she means.

Chaos pulls Trigun over the edge of the lake as the others rush over to help him. As the lose sight, they see a flash of bright light from where the two were and pick up the pace. Knuckles is the first out of the lakes bottom as he looks to see Chaos standing there. "What happen to Trigun?" Knuckles asks looking around. "I vanquished him." Chaos responds simply. "I see, a shame he never..." Knuckles begins as he then realizes what just occurred. "Chaos.....did you just talk?" "Well you asked me a question. It would only be common knowledge to respond to it." he replies. Knuckles can only stand jaw-dropped as Astraea and Kali make it up as well. "What happen to Trigun?" Kali asks as he gets over. "I vanquished him, just as I told Knuckles." Chaos responds, looking to the two who stare back confused.

Astraea nods as she scans the area. She soon spots a small patch of ice towards the side of the lake and points out. Trigun emerges from under the ice as he barely escaped death. With no water source left he attempts to crawl out of the lakes area, as the others take chase after him. He gets to the top where he looks up to see Chaos standing before him. "Well now haven't you shown up at the perfect moment." he says grabbing Chaos leg to try and absorb him, however Chaos grabs his arm with both his hands and his emeralds begin to glow strongly. Trigun looks in confusion as he realizes what Chaos we attempting to do.

Astraea pulls the ball of lava up above her head and looks to Kali and Knuckles, who in response pick up their pace. As she tosses it down on the lake, Knuckles finally gets the right energy down to make a force field covering over him and Kali. With Spectre already covered by ice and his own barrier, he should have been fine as a massive explosion of fire consumes the entire lake. Within minutes, the ice and water fully evaporate as a large crater of hard mud is left over. Astraea reverts back to her original self and looks to Kali and Knuckles, who were floating in air in a bubble of chaos energy. It then immediately breaks and they fall to the ground. "Glad to see you're almost as strong as your grandfather." she says with a smirk. Knuckles can only look at her in complete shock as he barely saved them for being melted. He then loosk over towards Spectre. "You doin ok in there?" he asks, as the ice around Spectre was now melted so only his barrier should remain.

Astraea looks over to Sprectre as she builds a ball of lava in her hands. "You will be out soon enough, I would however suggest you keep your barrier going." Knuckles continues to work to form a barrier of his own. With Astraea unreachable at her current temperature, Trigun focuses all his attacks on Knuckles and Kali. "You better hurry with that thing. She isn't one to wait you know." Kali says, blocking each Trigun from attack Knuckles. "I'm working on it, I'm working on it!" he says, dodging some of the attacks as Kali gives him space.

As the three huddle together facing outwards, Astraea looks to Spectre and then to Knuckles. "Can you make the same force-field as him?" she asks. "I've never tried but I can give it a go." he replies back, keeping his eyes on the army of Triguns slowly approaching them. "Do it then." Astraea replies. She then steps out and begins to power up again, melting the ice and water under her as he body becomes covered in lava. Kali instantly realizes what she's about to do and turns to Knuckles. "If we don't get that shield, we're as good as dead." Meanwhile, Chaos has now fully recovered himself and looks out onto the lake. He sees the group fighting and decides to hold off on his rejoining.

Trigun looks to Spectre and decides to encase him in a ball of ice. "If you like your barriers so much, you can watch from there as I kill the ones you care for." he says as he then turns to face Kali. "Kali, my dear nemesis. I'm happy to see you still alive for me to finish you off." he says with delight. "That's some nasty words coming from your mouth." Kali says back as he immediately enahcnes his limbs and charges at Trigun. Trigun uses his whip to get the range advanatage, however Kali doesn't flinch. He takes each blow as he continues moving up and prepares for a full on assault. "Reckless as always." Trigun says under his breath as he pulls out his rapier and pierces Kali's arm as he swings it. The sword goes straight though his knuckle and all the way up his arm socket, locking it in place. "You're body armor is quite impressive." Trigun says, brushing alongside Kali's arm as he was being frozen in place. "However like any material, if you get something small and sharp enough, it will pierce through." Trigun then begins to wrap Kalis body with his whip as he prepares to break him, just as he did Chaos. "This may be more slow and painful, seeing as how you aren't made of 100% water like that false god over there." Right as he begins to pull on the whip, a fireball hurls over, blasting his hand as he lets go, writhing in pain. He looks over to see Astraea and Knuckles running towards them. "This is getting quite annoying." Trigun says as he slams on the ground, causing a shock-wave that then formed multiple versions of himself. Soon, there were dozens of clones all over the lake as they surrounded the four. "I grow tired of your constant last minute interruptions. I shall take you all out once and for all."

Trigun did now slow down after Spectres escape, he continued after him as his clone was now fully focused on Knuckles. While Chaos was still gathering the power to reform his body, Knuckles was in a locked battle with Triguns clone. Between the range of his whip and speed of his rapier, Knuckles couldn't get a safe distance to attack or defend from him. He continuously took hits as the ice patches slowly began to stick and freeze onto his body. Soon he became to numb to move as he fell to a knee. "Two down, one to go." Triguns clone states as he raises his rapier to finish off Knuckles. As Knuckles looks away in anticipation, he hears a cracking sound, followed by the shatter of glass. He looks up to see Kali, shoving his entire arm through the head of Triguns clone and piercing it with raw steel. The real trigun looks over in confusion as he sees the earth warrior standing before Knuckles, helping him to his feet. "I'm glad to see you made it." Knuckles says to him. "I'm not the only one here." Kali replies. Knuckles turns over to see Astraea running onto the lake as well. "You could have told me you were going out!" she yells as she reaches Knuckles and begins to defrost his frozen limbs. "sorry, there was no time. You take care of him while I go help out the old guy." "Yea yea, whatever. Just leave something for me."

Knuckles looks over to Chaos, as he is unable to get close to Trigun who was attacking Spectre, to see the emeralds suspended in air while he reformed his body. He thinks for a moment to make a plan as he then decides to run back towards Chaos. Trigun sees him moving and quickly taps the ice on the ground. While Knuckles was running, a fist popped up beneath him and it blind sided him in the chin. As Knuckles looks up, a second Trigun now appeared before him. "It wouldn't be fair if it was a 3 on 1 now would it?" he says as he forms another whip and starts to attack Knuckles. Kali and Astraea continue to observe, looking for a way to catch him off guard just enough to get a decent hit in.

Trigun let's out his whip towards Knuckles, causing him to bounce back and be separated from Spectre. He then rushes at Spectre with his rapier and lets out a barrage of thrusts to keep close contact with him. "You two are nothing but nuisances in my way now." Trigun says as he continues to go after Spectre. Each time Knuckles attempts to help, Trigun uses his whip to keep Knuckles at distance so that he couldn't interfere. ------------------ Astraea reaches the edge of the forest to look out into the lake and see the battle at hand. As Kali catches up to her, she sticks her fist out to stop him mid stride. As he rub his face from the hit, he looks out to see the fight as well. "We'll have to strike at a crucial moment." he says, looking for an opening. "Oh really? I would have never guessed." Astraea says back. Kali gives her a look, however she wasn't paying attention anymore. They both were waiting for Trigun to let his guard down.

"Chaos is going to check on him now." Knuckles says as his grandfather arrives. He looks out to Chaos waiting for a signal. Chaos goes to the wreckage caused by Triguns blast back. As he looks inot the dust, a whip flies out, wrapping around his torso. Before he could retaliate, he gets instantly frozen and shattered as the whip constricts on his body. Trigun then emerges, holding the whip in one hand, and a rapier in the other. He looks out to Knuckles and Spectre with an emotionless expression before he starts to walk towards them. "It's looking bad." Knuckles then says as he stands up to face his foe once more. --------------------------------- Astraea and Kali rush through the forest as they seek to aid their companions in battle. Every now and again Astraea would turn to look at Kali, but then look away whenever he noticed. "Something on your mind still?" he asks after a while. "It's none of your business." she replies bak without looking. "Seeing as how you keep looking at me, i feel like it is." Astraea turns to him as he lets out a smirk. She then trips Kali, causing him to fall face first into a mud puddle. "Hurry up! We won't catch them at this rate." Astraea says running on. Kali pulls his face out the mud and shakes it off, then gets up to catch her.

Chaos struggles as Trigun holds him down, ready to strike a blow to his brain. As he slams down, Knuckles makes it in time to collide with Triguns fist and steer it's impact to the side. Chaos takes this time to kick Trigun off balance and roll out of harms way as Knuckles then digs into the ice to stop himself and do a spinning kick to hit Trigun again. Trigun has no way to avoid it as he takes to full blow, however his armor still protected him greatly from the damage. Knuckles then jumps back to regroup with Chaos. "We need to pierce through that ice of his. Can you give me a distraction?" he says to the mutant. Chaos nods and rushes at Trigun, who gets up to fight him. As Trigun goes in to throw punches, Chaos puts up a barrier to withstand it all, as well as hide Knuckles behind him. The servers are the seven chaos. Chaos is power, power enriched by the heart. The controller is the one that unifies the chaos. Strike down my foes with great might! Knuckles fires a large chaos spear towards the two of them. As it connects, it Chaos opens a whole through his body so that it shoots through and hits Trigun with full power. The blast takes him off his feet and he gets sent flying off the lake and into nearby trees. Knuckles falls to a knee as he attempts to regain his energy while Chaos rushes in to finish the job. ----------------------------------------- Astraea can only stare at Kali in confusion. His words had cut her train of thought. Taken this time to his advantage. Kali quickly grabs hold of her and pins her to the ground, restraining her movements with dirt vines to limit her control of fire. "Whether our entire society is dead or not, the fact is there's one more person out there we have to find. There was a wind soldier with us and he may be alive today as well. If what we believe is true, we can find him along with the entire nation of wind and find out the truth. This isn't something I can do alone. I want you to be by my side, in this new world where our past vendettas no longer matter." Astraea was taken surprise by Kalis move and attempted to struggle, however after hearing him speak out again she calmed down. Now only that, but she broke down too. Tears started to form in her eyes as she couldn't bear the truth any longer. She broke down and began to cry to the lose of her family, her people, and now her purpose. She couldn't bring herself to killing Kali anymore, and he knew this when he saw her face. He released her from his vines and helped her on her feet. "I'm sorry this is what our lives are now, but I do not wish to end it because of that. We still have much to do." he says to her. Astraea wipes her tears and looks away, refocusing on the task at hand. "We still have to stop "him", don't we?" she says, looking towards the center of the island. "Unfortunately. I wish there was another way, but he isn't one to change his views for the better."

Knuckels and Chaos charge again. This time however, Trigun charges back at them. The two groups clash as Knuckles puts on a large onslaught, however Trigun counters every hit with a blow of his own. Chaos jumps over Knuckles head and attempts to slam down on Trigun, however he puts his arm up to block it. With the new opening, Knuckles puts both his fists together and swings in like a club towards Triguns abdomen. With his other hand, Trigun catches Knuckles hit, however can't fully block it as it connects with his side. The shock of the impact breaks Triguns arm, however the connection to his rib-cage was ineffective. He then uses this time to kick Knuckles away as he then grabs Chaos and slams him into the ice hard. Knuckles falls back,but uses the slide to re-stance himself and run over to help Chaos who was now pinned. ----------------------------- Astraea grabs hold on Kali as he prepared for another attack, however this time she did nto use her flames. "What do you mean it isn't important!? What about all those times you kept looking out for me like I was special to you?!" she yells. "I cared about you. I wanted to help us get back to our time, and fighting one another wasn't going to aid to that." Kali says back. "And it didn't occur to you if we returned, we would be enemies. We already are now!" "I understand what went on in the past, but the me now is different. And if there's nothing to return to, i would like to continue what we have now!" Astraea looks at him confused. "What are you talking about?" "If there's nothing left besides us, then I'd want to spend my team seeing this world and everything it's become. And I'd like you to be with me."

"Knuckles dashes out onto the ice, with Chaos right behind him. He covers his fists in chaos energy and swings at Trigun, who dodges the attack. He then starts a series of punches to keep pressure on as Chaos comes from the side to flank him. Trigun sees this and takes a hit from Knuckles to gain momentum and dodge out the way of Chaos. He then skids a bit across the lake and stops. "You two seem to value close-combat fighting." he says to them. "It's what we do best." Knuckles replies as Chaos stands tall next to him. Trigun nods and bashes his fists together, forming ice made brass knuckles over them and covering his body in knights armor. "Then I shall fight you that way as well. Come, allow me to show you the power of my abilities." ----------------------- Kali grabs onto Astraeas arm as she slowly digs into his chest. He continues to flash heal himself using the forest around him ,however the heat was causing him to lose focus quick. "Please hear me out Astraea." he says, grunting in pain. "What? Are you going to tell me that old geezer was right. That you've actually fallen for your own enemy?" she says, pushing deeper into him. "That's not the point. We don't know what actually happened to our people after the world collapsed. Chaos said Trigun was lying." "WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT'S NOT THE POINT!?" Astraea yells as she fires a stream of flames out the back of Kali, causing him to be launched back onto the ground. He slowly sits up, healing his scorch marks as he sees Astraea storming over to him. "Oh boy..." he says under his breath.

Chaos and Knuckles pick up the pace, seeings signs of frozen objects as they rush through the forest. They soon make it to the central lake of the island, which was now completely frozen, as well as the area around in. Trigun stood in the middle again just waiting. "This is much larger than the lake on the floating island." he says, flicking at the ice. "I must say I do enjoy creating my own battle grounds." Knuckles and Chaos simply stare at him in response. He feels their tension and stands up as he soon sees Spectre arrive as well. "It looks like you haven't come here to chat anymore. Let's get started then shall we?" -------------------------------------- A little while after Spectre leaves, the molten rock finally melts open as Astraea emerges, still covered in lava. She looks over to see Kali standing there along and powers down back to her original self. "where is he?" she asks, refering to Trigun. "He escaped. The others are chasing him down now." Kali responds. "So it's just us two?" "Yes." "...I see." she looks down for a moment as Kali walks up to her. "Please hear me out. This is the last chance we may get." he says, however his words are taken for granted as Astraea pierces his chest with a flow of fire. "You're right, this may be the last chance I get. If I take you out now, and they take care of Trigun, then my job is done."

Kali looks to Spectre with a blank expression. "Just shut up and go already."

Chaos stops in confusion. Kali looks over to him and explains to Chaos what Trigun told Spectre and him. Chaos puts his head down for a moment in thought and simply nods. "So this is the future of our world?" Kali asks. Chaos nods again. "And all our ancestors are dead...." Kali says in disappointment, however Chaos then shakes his head, causing Kali and Knuckles to look confused. "They're not dead?" Knuckles asks. Chaos nods and points to the direction Trigun ran off. Knuckles then looks to Spectre and Kali. "Looks like we still have something to beat out of him. Let's go find out the real truth!" "You guys go on. I'll stay here and try to convince Astraea once she comes out of this seal." Kali says as he feels the heat from her fire starting to seep out.

Kali looks to the ball of molten rock, knowing Spectres words were unheard for her. He puts his hand on it as he thinks for a moment. Knuckles walks up to him as Chaos slowly reforms. "Is she still alive in there?" he asks. "Probably. It should take long for her to break out." "so what should we do?" "You guys can go after Trigun...I need to speak with her alone." Knuckles nods and looks to Chaos who was up and ready again. They then turn to Spectre. "You coming with us this time? We still have to find out what that journal says." "We already know Knuckles. There's no reason to hold back on him." Kali replies, still surveying the molten rock. "Ah, even better! Let's go kick some elemental butt!" Knuckles says as him and Chaos run off to chase down Trigun.
