"I'll try. I've never wrestled a werewolf though."

"I've no idea. Maybe I shpuld catch one and do a little interrogation."

"We'll camp a little furtber in for tonight. No use charging in after them," suggested Topaz.

"This is bad. Want me to carry you?" asked Hope Topaz smiled. "I'll be careful. This isn't my first rodeo,"

Hope rushed to catch her friend. "Are you ok?" she asked. "It shouldn't be too hard actually. I have 30 friends who can all run faster than he can," remarked Topaz.

"I'm not. But if it helps there may be an easy cure: we kill the werewolf that bit you."

"It's tomorrow, I think," said HRH Hope.

"Mody, we can save you but you can't keep denying it's happening."

"If the teerh went in... and you just froze up too."

"You were bitten! You might not know anything about werewolves, but I do."

"Perhaps you are right. We can discuss this when we're safe," the woman replied, quicjly walking back into town. Hope ran to Melody andhelped her back to the others. "Nice work. Now we need to make sure you don't turn into one of them," she said in a concerned tone.

"I don't think that's magic killing our pack. Regardless you have a point, pull the rest back now. We'll rethink this," she said, smirking slightly. "You always did want a 'worthy' challenge, it seems now you have one."

Topaz fired again at the next target. At the edge of the forest, the woman was also observing, still having not changed into her bestial form. "I think we may have met our undoing."

Topaz shot a round each at the lead wolves in quick succession, hitting them centre mass.

Topaz took aim.

"Ok, go. You stab, I shoot."

"His teeth still went into you! That means.." Hope gulped. "We can sort it out later, right now we need to push these things back," yelled Topaz, hurling a stun grenade at the closing pack.

Hope froze for a moment. "He bit you?" she asked nervously, bandaging the arm.

"How did you get that?" asked Hope as she cleaned the wound with Topaz's medical kit.

"You ok? Looks like something snagged you," said Topaz, spotting the wound. Hope moved in to look as well.

"If you can stab the wolves with the silver knife, I can take them out with my rifle. Hopefully they'll retreat if we put up rnough resistance."

"Some knives. I was mainly concerned with what I could carry."

Topaz pointed to her pistol. "Fifteen silver bullets in the magazine, and one spare filled with them, so that's 30..The rest are normal copper and lead. I only had these ones as a novelty."

"I think we might be able to take 'em. We have the element of surprise," said Topaz.

"I think I see you. Crap, more of them."
