"Stay here with Shadow and the others. It's safer that way."

"Very well." ---- Topaz got up from her position. "I'll head off now. Stay here and wish me luck."

"Try not to get shot then."

"Maybe. How do you plan to get her there?"

"Easier said than done."

"Close up yes, but she has the benefit of range and that disappearing act."

"The hedgehog will stay behind and that woman will press us most likely. It is still dangerous, so don't think this will be easy."

"That means they'll come to us and try to kill you."

"Not especially. I tried bringing the girl over to our side, you tried attacking en masse. The only hope is to catch them off guard. Burn the forest perhaps?"

Back in the town, the woman was trying to formulate a plan.

"Dig in then. I'll keep watch," said Topaz, eyeing the tree line.

"Ok, the MRE is ready. It's chicken soup with a biscuit."

"I'll shoot out all his teeth before I let that happen '

"Look, you don't have toworry about thst because I'm going to take him out. Trust me," said Topaz as Hope tried comforting her friend.

"I don't think so," admitted Shadoe.

Hope shook her head. "No. You're pretty calm."

"Indeed. Unless you're always so quick to snap."

"Unfortunately we do."

"If you don't keep your temper and voice down we might be testing that theory," he replied.

"Would you rather we take the direct approach and cut off your arm?" asked Shadow.

Topaz started heating it up.

"It has meat in it if that gelps."

"I'm afraid my supplies are back at the inn," said HRH Hope. "I grabbed some MREs, they're in the pack. Might not taste great but they'll fill you," said Topaz, removing her backpack and looking inside.

"Easier said than done." "I'll come with you. I should be able to help in that area," said Shadow as he started a campfire with a flick of Chaos energy.
