Shadow the Hedgehog

"Son of a B*tch!" Shadow started firing, trying to lead his shots to compensate for Miles' movement, which was incredibly erratic. He wasn't sure he even had a hit. "We need to get a clearer shot. Let's see where they're heading then go all out on them."

"Tortured his son, tried to have him killed along with his sister, and then tried to take over the poor boy's mind and kill us all. That's what he did."

"I don't know. It doesn't make sense, he'd have double crossed her. He'd never willingly give another his powers. Mina is a skilled assassin, so I understand tricking her, but that still doesn't explain the exchange. Unless she got that Darned swine Miles involved."

"Agreed. Let's step outside."

"Mina would still be a child at this point, Locke, so there's no way Shadow would so much as look at her that way. No, this is something else. Some sort of... magic, a ritual perhaps. But that still begs the question of how. Did they capture him?"

"I can think of only one possibility, but I can't imagine him doing it." said Crowley.

"Adjusting for the wind... I've got him in my sights. On your go."

After an hour or so of tracking, the group spots Mina and Miles in a clearing below. "You take Mina. I've got Miles." said Shadow, setting up his bipod.

(OOC I think just some tracking for a while. I'm headed off now anyway. Night guys).

"So be it." Shadow reached inside a compartment in Omega's back and retrieved his own rifle. After assembling and loading it, he scanned the area. "I don't see them. They must've moved."

Shadow breathed a heavy sigh. "You still got your rifle? We can take them both out." Shadow forced back a tear. "I know it'll remove Skye and Melody from existence. But if we let Mina run around with my powers, she could be worse than Nega. For the good of us all, we have to right this." (OOC Sounds good. By the way I'm not suggesting we kill Mina and Miles. Ok, while in reality I would, for RPM it'd be bloody harsh to simultaneously wipe out all your characters :P ).

Shadow felt his powers being transfered to Mina. "To hell with this." he thought. "She never specified how much of or how long she'd get my powers." He then managed to yell out "FIRE!" through the intense pain. Omega, who had crept to the edge of the hole, responded by firing a well placed shot at Miles. The bullet only grazed his arm, but it was enough to knock his concentration and disrupt his spells. Shadow grabbed Zet and teleported to the top of the hole. "Never trust a spook." he said smugly before chaos controlling the trio to a distant location where Zet could prep the teleporter in relative safety. "I don't know how much of my powers she got, other than too much. I shoulda knocked her out the second we got back here. Now I've really screwed things up. If I'd have known this I'd have told Omega to kneecap that runt Miles."

"The people I care about are either long dead or far, far away. Those you care about on the other hand...well it's like I said, he'll get his. They always do. Now let's get this done."

"You'll get yours Miles, you pathetic worm. I assure you. And know this Mina. If I die here or lose my powers, this whole Zone will be 'sanitised'. And not even my powers could save you then. So you better hope your runt of a boyfriend doesn't screw things up." (OOC If you want to go for it).

As Mina walked off Shadow gave Omega a quick nod and hand signal. Omega understood. He was to wait at a safe distance and disrupt the ceremony from afar if need be. Shadow then walked off, whispering to Zet "I got a bad feeling about this."

"I know I won't" replied Shadow, all the while planning his escape.

"Ok then. Now that just leaves... er the payment." said Shadow with a hint of reluctance. "I doubt they're enjoying it Glen."

"It's ok. I trust your professionalism. Now let's get out of here. Mr Green?"

"Good. You're ok. I trust you were successful? Or did he activate the self destruct and run off?"

"That looks like her, and she's in a hurry." Suddenly there was a massive explosion. Shadow ran forward as soon as he could, hoping Mina wasn't caught in the blast, as he knew the dreadful consequences if that happened. "Mina! Are you hurt?" he called out, hoping for a response.

(OOC I think she'll blow it up. While Nega's probably gonna die of blood loss from that second attack, blowing it up is the only to be sure, if of course he's still there).

"So how'd you reckon Mina's getting on in there? I don't see any massive explosions so things must be going at least somewhat well."

Nega suddenly teleported away to an infirmary, where a medical bot quickly set to work trying to treat him. "Indeed. They can handle themselves." replied Crowley.

Nega fell back as he was struck, putting pressure on the wound on his neck so as not to bleed out. "Sorry Glen, I blanked out for a second there. Yes, hopefully they won't get double crossed."

"Deal. Go take care of those pests. I can have a robot incapacitate the hedgehog." Nega hit a button and Mina was released.
