Hope went to a draw and pulled out the plans along with 2 sets of goggles, one of which she handed to Skye before putting on her own and showing him the plans.
-
"You're welcome to try. Just be very careful. If it goes off we'll be blinded."
-
Granted, but your dreams become your worst nightmares. I wish I could stop time whenever I wanted. (What would you have said?)
-
"Hehe thanks. And I wouldn't touch that if I were you. It's... unstable, to say the least."
-
"Ok let's go." Hope took Skye to the lab and Shadow and Rouge followed. Hope rushed in and quickly filed away any important documents before inviting Skye in. "Well here it is."
-
"I'm sure you will. So would you like to see the lab?"
-
"Well you'd basically be the only good magic user I'd know of." (OOC His story is about halfway back up the page Locke).
-
"Hehe. It'll be nice to have a change of pace."
-
"You're right. The only people who use magic here tend to be evil wizards and the like."
-
"It's a nice thought but we don't have any magic users here." said Hope.
-
"Really? You're so lucky. If I want a scale mockup I have to build it by hand." replied Hope. "My favourite?" Crowley was deep in thought. "Ah yes. It was many years ago. I had been paid to kill a skunk. The client was very specific. I was to release a specially formed poison into his room. Ghastly stuff it was. The stench alone was enough to kill. Well I set up the timer and everything went according to plan when he entered the room. I must say I did enjoy the irony of a skunk dying to a foul smelling chemical. When the client came over to check the body, upon his approach there must have been some sort of spasm in the skunk, as it sprayed into his face. Some of the poison was in the spray and the client died instantly, a look of absolute disgust on hus face. I had to wait 2 days for it to clear so I could ger my payment!"
-
"Oh I thoroughly enjoy building what I do. The only part I don't like is the planning and drawing stages. I know they're importsnt but it's not exactly fun working out angles and tolerances." said Hope. "Well I have stories of assassinations. Some of them are rather amusing."
-
"Well most of the time I'm busy with my work at the lab. And I have got a TV and some other stuff in my room for when I'm free."
-
Granted, but you're only allowed to buy springers. I wish I had a smokeless powder blunderbuss and an unlimited supply of lead balls and powder.
-
Noticing this, Hope casually put her arm out to stop Skye from falling. "See what I mean. They have their moments." she said. "What kind of stories?" asked Crowley.
-
"I suppose it does. Are there any fountains Shadow? I do like fountains. And statues of me showing off my brilliance to the world. And..." Shadow interrupted her. "Yes it'd be exactly like that. Nothing less would be suitable. Now stop your fantasising before you start shrieking at the top of your lungs. It's not happening any time soon." Rouge pouted then resumed eating her breakfast. "Careful, my little consort. Wouldn't want to have to put you in the mines," she added smugly. Crowley returned to the hotel. "Well that was simple enough."
-
"Hehe very true. It wasn't totally made from gems. Just marble encrusted with them."
-
"Occassionally when I'm bored. I also imagine what it'd be like living under other people's rule. For example I imagine Hope would be nice as long as she doesn't go mad with power. And Rouge would be hell for most people as she puts them to work digging up gems, but I'd be fine so long as I played along."
-
"I'll admit I didn't think of any of this. It's often the more unusual or unexpected events that occur, as opposed to the stock fantasies everyone has, ruling the world and whatnot," said Shadow. "Very well." Crowley grabbed Dylan and teleported him to the room which had Dylan's teleporter in it. "Good luck Dylan. And be on your guard, I have a suspicion Locke may have put one of his stooges near your home. I'd hurry in case they try to take anything important."
-
"Let's go." said Crowley. "Do you want me to take you to Haven to get your teleporter or take you directly to your home?"
-
Granted, but although it tastes nice you'll be sick an hour after eating it. I wish I had a sack filled with gold.
-
"It's alright Skye. Sometimes it's nice to speculate what might be, if for nothing else than to kill time." "You don't seem to understand Glen. I don't doubt your ability, but I couldn't take you on even if I wanted to. You've been legionised for one thing. That's bound to draw unnecessary attention in my line of work. It also means that you would most likely be shot on sight if you went anywhere near GUN. They don't take kindly to anyone going near there that isn't human, or one of the few Mobians under their employ. You need clearence to get in. One does not simply stroll into GUN HQ," said Crowley.
-
"I am an assassin. I kill singular targets. Sometimes I only set things in motion and don't even directly kill them myself. It requires a cool head, improvisation, and a low profile. Hits often take hours of dull preparation. My job is difficult to describe as simply 'shooting bad guys'. It's not the sort of thing you can just start doing."
-
"My contract stipulates I work alone. It's as simple as that. I don't need help. Trust me."
-
"I don't have any assignments at the moment. Shadow gives them to me. Besides, I work alone. And I definitely couldn't take non GUN personnel along anyway."
