"You pick it Red."
-
"Very well. Better me than Locke I suppose," he said as he slowly rose to his feet.
-
"You're correct Dylan," said Crowley.
-
"Don't do it Dylan." said Shadow. "I wouldn't go that far Melody. I think it's just that he's very protective of me. Anyone else would've seen the humour in it. His personal sense of humour is incredibly dark."
-
"He doesn't want to sing so he doesn't have to sing. I'm not going to let any of you force him into this," said Shadow.
-
"Hehe I think so to." Hope walked up to Shadow and try to reassure him. "It's just a song. It didn't mean anything Shadow." "I sure hope not," he replied.
-
Hope's singing, true to her word, was anything but good. Shadow looked horrified as he listened to her. Not so much her singing as the song itself.
-
"Ok Melody, let's do it. You pick the song."
-
"Well then who's next?" asked Hope after she released Shadow.
-
"Excellent. Thank you Red," replied Shadow, who was promptly hugged by Hope. "See. Was that so bad?" she asked "Singing isn't my hobby Hope. Though I suppose there are worse things to do to pass the time."
-
Shadow finished his fairly decent singing and returned to his seat. "You two better make this worth my while," he said to Rouge and Red. (OOC Feeling Good by Michael Bublé).
-
Shadow walked up to the karaoke machine and picked his song. With a heavy sigh he began to sing. (OOC I'd post the video but it won't work from my phone. It just gives the link).
-
"They'd have only gotten more extreme until I gave in out of frustration Dylan. I'd rather not waste any more time than necessary."
-
Rouge put her arm around Shadow. "Have a think about that Shadow. So much to gain for so little cost." "Very well then. It's not like I have a choice now anyway."
-
"Sure thing Red. He'll buckle sooner or later," replied Rouge with an equally devious smile.
-
"No thank you."
-
"No that won't help Melody. Not at all."
-
"There is. I can simply choose to not do it."
-
"And what if I refuse?"
-
"I'd rather shower you with riches to express my apologies than sing."
-
"No," he responded flatly.
-
"Glad that's over with," quietly muttered Shadow to himself.
-
Shadow heard Melody and relented. "Ok I'll admit you were pretty good Rouge." "Thanks Shadow," she said with a smug look on her face.
-
"Yeah, I guess it is," replied Rouge as she sat back down next to Shadow. "So how did I do?" she asked him. "You were alright." he replied without a hint of interest.
-
"Good idea Melody." Hope scanned the room and set her eyes on Rouge. "Why don't you give it a try Rouge?" she asked. Rouge sighed and got up. "May as well get this over with," she muttered. She chose her song and began to sing, not especially badly, but not exceptionally well either.
