"Sure thing. I'll do that once he's back."

"Yesh. But like I said, ask him when you can if it's still worrying you."

"Well I suppose that means he's doing a good job. If you really want you should talk to him, hopefully that'll help. I think him letting you stay with me means he at least accepts you."

"I'm guessing it's because of his reaction to you copying his powers, or is it more him being, well, him?" asked Rouge.

"With him the only way you'll know is if you ask."

"Well to be fair you've seen him either on the job or when he's in difficult situation. In private he's actualy willing to show emotions other than anger. He seems happy enough around me."

"Well he wouldn't be pleased, that's for sure."

"Yes, a totally fresh start." ---- "We better not tell him though. Don't want to have him mope all day."

"Think of it like an alternate dimension," said Hope. ---- "I reckon he'd last five minutes then run away as fast as he could."

Shadow and Hope began to walk back the way they came. --- Rouge laughed. "I'll give you that one."

"We just need to retrace our steps to get back in range," said Hope. ---- "Same here, I'd go nuts," agreed Rouge.

"Yeah, so I doubt it'll happen to you three."

"Yes. Well, in the UF at least. I'm above it by a couple years. Before that they make you go to school but I never grew up there so that doesn't apply to me. I guess it's more of a human thing."

(OOC No problem). "I'm at the legal age to work and it's not like I have a family to look after me while I do whatever. Besides, I like my job. I could be doing a lot worse."

(OOC 18 or 17 if I remember correctly).

"You've got nothing to apologise for. Someone your age shouldn't be working at all, so yes it's a good thing."

"Yeah, freelance work does have its perks," said Rouge.

"It's what friends are for," replied Hope. --- "I get great pay, all the jewels I want, a nice apartment and first class travel. I'd say it's worth the occassional hassle."

"Ok then Melody." --- "They want reports as soon as we get back from a mission, so it depends on what time we get back. Once we finish them we practically fall onto the bed and sleep."

Hope sighed. "I suppose so." --- "Unfortunately not. It's all typed up. Just what you want to do at 3am when you've just got back from a mission."

"I don't know. But I don't think we're supposed to bring anyone back." --- "It certainly does have its moments. Though there is a fair amount of paperwork at times unfortunately."

"Well it's true I'm afraid," said Shadow. ---- "A missing persons investigation. When we're not fighting Eggman or spying we're sent out to investigate things of particular importance domestic police can't."

"Well the bit leading up to it was terrifying. It only became exciting when I knew I'd get out. And yes, there are crazy people everywhere. At least it keeps me in a job."

Shadow breathed a sigh of relief when Red read the letter. --- "Yes. Most of it was all of their preparation for the ritual, which was crazy enough in itself, but it gets more interesting at the end. As a testament to their stupidity, the guy with the camera kept filming as Shadow busted in to save me. Only stopped when Shadow punched him out. It was certainly exciting, and I was never more happy to see him.."

"Read the Darn letter and you'll find out!" yelled Shadow.
