"Hmmm some kind of neural booster could work. As for working in the UF, it's a nice thought but you've met the only 2 Mobians who work there already."

"No I don't. Like I said before, besides Shadow, Rouge and Omega, I have no real friends there."

"Thanks Melody, you're right. We need to have a little fun now and again."

Hope laughed internally. "Sorry, I couldn't resist. Which kind of throws my prior statement about inherited traits into question."

"Did the possibility never cross your mind that I might be more than a sweet, intelligent teenage girl?" Hope's tone switched back to normal. "Because if it did, I can assure you it's wrong. You get what you see, I'm probably the only member of my living family to have some inherited traits from my cousin."

"Indeed you were. But the question is whether I was telling the truth," she thought in the aame tone.

"No I'm not evil at all. So you don't have to worry about blackmail." thought Hope somewhat coldly.

"Melody I wouldn't tell anyone. This is just between you and me."

"Yes I did hear that. But it's fine, don't worry, I've heard far more embarassing things."

Hope clutched her head in pain. "Melody can you quieten down you just gave me a headache with that."

Hope laughed inside her head."Trust me, unless you know a lot about mathematics, you'll struggle. I'll try and be as quiet as possible."

"That's gonna be a bit difficult as I'm trying to work them out. But I'll give it a shot," thought lHope.

Back on the balcony Hope was doing some number crunching on her PDA, trying to work out how the link was created by the releporter.

"Here you go," she said, handing back the tiara.

"No you don't. It wasn't exactly strenuous work."

"Cool. Your tiara is still safe and sound."

"The gods themselves couldn't take this from me. Good luck."

"I'm sure she will," said Crowley. --- "See? It's just over there," said Hope.

Hope went to the balcony and looked around, spotting a cake shop just down the road. "I think I see one not too far away," she thought. "Very well I'll come," replied Crowley.

"That's a nice idea. I'm sure she'll love it." thought Hope. Crowley was sitting in usual chair in a state of thought.

"It's fine. My head's still intact."
