"Yeah. So we're lucky to have avoided it. Getting crammed into a bus or train isn't fun." ---- "Maybe it had something to do with that flash?" suggested Zamy. --- Hope jotted some notes down and put them in her pocket then turned around. "Spare us your drivel about doing it for her before we all get nauseaus. Now would you mind going into the other room? I need space to get started."
-
[OOC Locke, they're in an underground section. There is absolutely no way anyone there would know exactly who their captives are, unless the DEL suddenly got X Ray vision). "Yeah, it definitely is busy. People have a lot of places to get to around this time. Just be glad it isn't the morning rush hour," said Hope. ---- "I know, but we would've spotted them now. After all we didn't wait long," said Zamy. ---- Hope was busy looking through the microscope. "Operation? I'm not boring into her skull you imbecile. What you want requires patience: it's psychology, not neural surgery, unless you want her to be unresponsive."
-
Hope led Melody to the park and sat on a bench, browsing the map. ---- Rouge blinked when she saw Shadow disappear. That looked different from Chaos Control, though it could have just been her tiredness. --- "Neither do I. I've got a bad feeling about this," said Zamy. --- Hope approached Shadow and Crowley. "My sincerest apologies for this. I'd prefer to meet under better circumstances. But don't worry, I have no intention of harming you. I'll just need to take some blood for starters." Shadow eyed her with suspicion but was in no position to argue. Crowley just glared at Miles as Hope took a sample of his and Shadow's blood before she took it over to a microscope. "You've truly gone off the deep end," he said to Miles.
-
"Yeah. There's a rather pretty park nearby. Might as well plan our day with a nice view," said Hope. ---- As Zamy teleported them to the UF she noticed a flash around Shadow. "I hope that was his teleporting ability," she said to Ziona as she looked for Anna and Crowley. --- Shadow and Crowley found themselves in the chains, both realising what had happened. A smile formed on Hope's face when she saw them.
-
"I do but it's such a big city a map will come in handy," said Hope as she looked through her PDA menus. --- "So what are your first impressions of the city?" asked Crowley as he shivered suddenly. --- Zamy looked to Ziona. "Ok that should be enough time to give them a head start. You ready?"
-
"I'll get us a map. We'd need one anyway," said Hope. Crowley nodded and set off towards where he read the dealership was.
-
"It's my pleasure. Now, where should I take you first?" said Hope. "Yes, it is certainly lively. Shall we head to the dealerhsip?" asked Crowley. (OOC He's staying at the hotel).
-
Hope came over to the group and handed Anna and Melody their passes. "They also have unlimited travel which might be useful." Crowley teleported those that were travelling to the outskirts of the city.
-
"She's a biologist, not a physicist. She probably hasn't even considered time travel," said Zamy.
-
Shadow glared at Glen. "Suggest that again and Moebius Hope will be the least of your problems."
-
"No that cannot be done. That would make you no better than her."
-
"For the last time you can't destroy her life's work because she doesn't carry it around with her. Why don't you get that? And you will not be killing her. Understood?"
-
"As I said before you can't turn her against her research. She believes in it and will continue to. Besides, if you make her insane or mad, she'd be even more of a threat, not less of one," said Zamy.
-
"Hehe will do." ---- "I see. Yes, she'd tie up those loose ends very quickly. Though in Miles' case we might end up 'tragically' arriving too late to save him."
-
"It's fine Melody. Just healthy caution." --- "You aren't in charge of the investigation into her activities Glen. Neither am I or Ziona. Besides, you can't destroy her research. She'd have countless backups as well as her memory, and would never care about what yours or anyone elses opinion is of it. And what do you mean by 'expendable'? My job is to ensure Anna's and the others' setllement here, and I intend to do just that." ---- "As am I."
-
"Of course not. She justifies her actions as done in the name of science. And we're not sure exactly Dylan. I shudder to think about it."
-
Hope giggled. "Alright then." ----- Zamy sighed. "Very well. Hope Robotnik is a biologist, arguably unrivalled in her knowledge and abilities. She has experimented on countless people, for some purpose known only to her, but we can be sure she does have a reason behind it all. It was mostly confined to Moebius, until she branched out to a different Zone. There, she released an agent into the air, we don't know exactly what. What we do know is that it essentially brought an entire town to a halt. The inhabitants just stopped moving and ended up slowly dying from their lathargy. It must've been a test for a sedative of some kind, though clearly it was too effective. That's what we brought her in for." ----- "Yes. But right now we need to focus on the task at hand. It sounds like they're almost ready."
-
"I don't know. I could give it a shot," joked Hope. ---- "Ok then." ---- "It makes no difference to me how you try to spin it. The fact is she should not have them."
-
"I guess. These things take time to adjust to," joked Hope. ------ "Well that's me all ready to go," said Zamy. ----- "Of course it is! She was trying to improve herslef without earning it. The clue is in 'herself'. She wasn't doing it for anyone else."
-
"Curses I knew I left something out." ---- "Because she stole from a superior being for her own selfish desires. Purely parasitic motives," retorted Hope. Once she had the ultimate lifeforms she'd deal with the girl and the fox accordingly, she thought to herself.
-
"Indeed I am. Soon my plans will come to fruition." ----- "Yeah, I figured they'd come in handy," replied Zamy. ------- Upon hearing Mile's words Hope had an angry outburst. "What!? So you want me to restore the memories of that girl so she's some pathetic leech!?"
-
"Yes that'd be the best option; just avoid it out right." ------- "Agreed," said Crowley. ---- Shadow returned holding a box which he handed to Zamy. "I've no idea if they'll fit you, but if you say you know how to handle them it's worth a shot." "Thanks," she replied before swapping her boots out for them. She then proceeded to casually skate around the room before stopping. "Yeah it's all coming back to me now." Shadow nodded and handed her the cases before chaos controlling them back to where the others were. ---- "The three? How did the girl acquire chaos powers?" asked Hope.
-
"Well no, but if she believed me things could go badly." ---- "You certainly wouldn't be the one to give it to her. Nor would any other non-human. Though I seriously doubt she has time to waste with relationships," said Crowley. --- "Eccellent. That'll do nicely."
-
"That last one could end with me losing my front teeth." ---- "Indeed. Remember, no harm is to come to any of them."
-
"I suppose I could. But I doubt she'd be on board for the whole "Evil Empire" aspect." ---- Shadow returned with a break barrel launcher. "This only chambers the less lethal stuff so don't worry. You've got rubber bullets, just remember to aim low. And these are stun grenades, they make a lot of flash and noise to disorient the target. This is all I can give you that you can hide in a typical sports car." "Thank you Shadow. For someone who doesn't use anything here you sure know a lot about it. And would you happen to have any spare jet skates? I know how to skate and they might come in handy," asked Zamy. "On a particularly slow day I once had a look at everything they use here out of curiosity, though unsurprisingly I stick to my chaos powees unless the situation would be better suited to firearms. And yes I do. One moment please," he replied before heading to his quarters. --- "That's understandable. It is odd. Let's hope they move soon."
