"Such a pity Shadow didn't rid the world of both of you. Skye's condition is none of your business," replied Zamy, disgusted at the older Miles.
-
Zamy instinctively gripped her baton. "You won't be doing that any time soon."
-
"I think you're the ones who should be answering that. It wasn't like we came here of our own choice," defiantly replied Zamy.
-
Zamy came to her senses then looked at the new pair. Judging by their words she had a rough guess as to who they were. She remained silent and waited to see if she had a chance to attack.
-
"Well I cna always hope," replied Zamy befor ehe jaw dropped when she saw the light coming towards her as well. "Not again," she muttered under her breath.
-
"It's ok. I'm sure I'll be seeing them soon anyway."
-
Zamy moved the pawn. "Occasionally, though not since my friends left to their respective duties."
-
"Ok then," replied Zamy before moving forward one of her pawns.
-
"Good idea," replied Zamy before she set up the board. "White or black?" she asked.
-
"That's putting it mildly."
-
"Pretty much. Probably for the best, the only thing I can imagine Moebian humans striving for is the hydrogen bomb."
-
"I see. That doesn't particularly surprise me," replied Zamy.
-
"Humans are an incredibly ingenious species when it comes to things like that."
-
"I agree. Especially as it's essentially a scaled down version of the kind of technology that got the Space Colony Ark up into space."
-
"I reckon I just got lucky with the size, it was developed over 50 years ago."
-
"True. I think it's more a matter of size. I was expecting they wouldn't fit me."
-
"By the looks of it he'd never worn them, and it was a temporary thing in case I needed to chase you or Robotnik. Though they are quite comfortable."
-
Zamy shuddered. "That'd be a horribly awkward situation. And I suppose Shadow could do it if I asked. I do have his shoes after all."
-
"True. And Ziona would be preoccupied. That's problematic."
-
"I would say 'if it does happen, shoot me', but that might be a little difficult," joked Zamy.
-
"Yes. It's rather irritating I must say. Thankfully I won't be having any such complications. I'm here as a professional," stated Zamy.
-
"Perhaps it was. But it's not like I had any other option, seeing as my partner is somewhere else."
-
Zamy reappeared a second later with a chess board in hand. "You know I can still hear everything thanks to the miracle of bugs. Plus if you did try to escape I'd have caught you in the act. Not that I can see how you'd escape."
-
"I'll see if I can procure one,"replied Zamy before teleporting to her office.
-
"You're welcome," replied Zamy with a small smile.
