"You thought I was serious?" ---- "I do have the sequel to that film now actually."
-
Zamy laughed. "I'm not that cruel." ---- "Yeah, the one with the alien. Though I best be sure this one won't try and shove a magazine down my throat."
-
"Yes. You see, wans't that bad after all. You can do it all again next week now." ----- "The former, but not a body. I'll have to build that at some point. Maybe like the one from that movie we watched before."
-
"Oh, in that case if you want to feel free. I'm impressed you did so many so quickly." ---- "She shouldn't. I don't think she has emotions. I'll cross that when I come to it, same s trying to build a body."
-
"Also, you're still grounded from Haven, but you don't have to keep charging those batteries if you don't want to." ----- "I couldn't give an AI access to our systems, that would end badly."
-
"It's fine." ---- "I haven't got the ability to change the database on that laptop. For security reasons."
-
"What else can I be at all this?" ----- "Why? Do you want your own record?"
-
""So am I." ---- "Nope. You'll just be listed as 'civilian assisstance' in any report."
-
"No, that's OK. I'll take them." ---- "She can't find anything on you. She just has the camera."
-
"No idea, but I'm dreading it. If those kids have done something else crazy I might explode." ---- "And a fast learner too."
-
Zamy waved back. ---- "Not personally. She knows I'm her creator but that's it. Or rather was it. She's using the laptop camera to compare me to my id photo."
-
"Ok. Call if the slightest thing occurs." ---- There was a pause before the computer started typing out Hope's details, working out who she was from the database.
-
"No problem. I couldn't just leave you to it." ---- Who are you?" it typed back.
-
"I'll always be here to listen." ---- The computer typed back "yes".
-
"I can understand that." ---- "Faith could work nicely."
-
Zamy took the key. "I'll keep it hidden." ---- The computer waited several seconds before responding "I have no name. What should it be?"
-
"Got it?" ---- "Just think of anything."
-
"These things are built like tanks." --- "I know. Why don't you give it a try?"
-
"I hope so. She's got her radio so she can call if she needs help." ---- On the screen, the AI typed out "female". "You see that?" said Hope.
-
"Sorry about all this Miles." ---- "Good idea." Hope started typing the question on the computer.
-
"Ok, stay safe." ---- "Probably a female one."
-
"So, where's that key?" ----- "Maybe. I'll have to try some options out," she replied as she hooked up the drive to the computer.
-
"No problem. It's what friends are for." ---- "I can talk to it if I plug it into a computer and type to it. Still needs a bit of work before I move into giving it a voice. Heck, I don't even know what voice I'll give it."
-
"I'll make sure you do." ---- "Exactly! As for the aI program itself, I won't bor eyou with the details as it's pretty complex, even for more at times. But I reckon I'm halfway there."
-
"You're stornger than that. You'll get through this now." ----- "Omega and cute should never be used in the same sentence," laughed Hope
