"I hope so. I can't do anything to stop you," said Hope. ---- "And if you hadn't have done that you'd have both grown up to be despicable tyrqnts with dwindling life expectancies."
-
"But won't that run the risk of making you bodiless if it goes wrong? asked a concerned Hope. --- Zamy laughed. "True. Well neither of us were here for Robotnik's 'dream machine'. Apparently that was interesting."
-
"I see. And how do you plan on getting one?" ---- "Well it's only been a week or so, and for some of the group it was a temporary, circumstantial convergence. I'm sure the rate of incidents will decrease in time."
-
Hope's jaw dropped when she saw the older Melody. "Erm.. hello... when did you start messing with the space time continuum Melody?" she asked the younger one. ---- "That'd be Robotnik here. The only Kintobor is Hope. And yes, they do attract odd occurrences."
-
Hope entered the room, not noticing the other Melody. "How're you holding up?" ---- "Apparently so. There's normally something going on, usually related to Eggman."
-
Hope took hold of Dylan's arm. --- "Yeah, it has," said Zamy. Her next shots were 3 pins off a spare.
-
Hope saw Dylan appear in her lab. "Ready when you are." ---- "I think everyone's taken a beating to their pride today."
-
Hope thought for a moment then gave Dylan her coordinates. --- Zamy quickly made her way over to Miles. "Are you okay?"
-
Hope glanced at her watch. "If you're quick and accurate you can get me in and out without any fuss. This sounds important." ---- "You've never played before. You'll get the hang of it," replied Zamy before she took her shots, managing to get a spare in the process.
-
"Melody? I'll get over when I can but that'll be kind of difficult. I don't have any transportation to hand unfortunately," replied Hope. ------ "Then you're up."
-
Some faint crackling could be heard as the line was switched over and Hope's voice came through as she was connected. "Hello Dylan. Has something happened?" --- "Ok then." Zamy led Miles into the bowling alley and got them a lane. "It's really simple, you just take a hold of the ball like this, and roll it down the lane to to knock the pins down. You get two tries per round, and you can't step over that line."
-
A voice responded over the radio. "Hello? Who is this?" ----- "Looks like there's a bowling alley there if you like bowling," said Zamy.
-
"Well I'm sure there's something around here we can do if we look," said Zamy.
-
"I might not be able to now, but no one can predict the future. Is there anything else you want to do while we're out?
-
"All I can say is never say never."
-
"I'm an active officer, so it certainly wouldn't be easy. Plus I live in a tiny apartment in No Zone. There's nothing to say it's impossible though," said Zamy, trying to reassure Miles.
-
"Well until you're fit to go to the board you are in a way."
-
Zamy smiled. "That's awfully sweet of you Miles."
-
"Thanks. Glad I'm able to help. Speaking of which, I need to sort out where you'll be staying until you're able to head into the program."
-
"Well unfortunately I'm not the most qualified person to help you act like one. I'd say just relax and try to be yourself, but I know that's not exaclty helpful."
-
"Well I wouldn't go that far. You odn't want to wipe away everything you are to try and act like that. Most people who try just end up grating on everyone else's nerves."
-
"A whole lot of nasty stuff is the easiest way to some it up. But like I said, that's not what you'll become."
-
"Perhaps becuase you've seen what happens when someone keeps believing that."
-
"No one does. But the sooner you confront it the sooner you can move on."
-
"Try to see it from his point of view. It's like saying copying someone's keys is fine because it's just a copy."
