"Yes. That would be nice," said Zamy.
-
"Unfortunately. Though I'll just have to let it slide. I don't want to get her in trouble."
-
"I know. I appreciate how difficult the situation is here, but still."
-
"I've seen her spend more time with that guy than with the kids. This isn't a matchmaking service."
-
"Desperate times call for desperate measures," joked Zamy.
-
"Ah but that's the beauty of it. It will inspire her to work. Or rather guilt her," joked Zamy.
-
"Hmmm. Tell you what. If when we get back my partner is working, I'll guarantee I won't. Otherwise I'll see how I feel," said Zamy, laughing as well.
-
"Yep. Getting up at the crack of dawn, porridge for breakfast and then running for hours," joked Zamy.
-
"Don't worry. We'll put you on a grueling training regime to stay in shape," joked Zamy.
-
"I'm fine thanks," replied Zamy before taking a sip of her lemonade.
-
Zamy bought Miles his drink and pie, and got herself large lemonade.
-
Zamy got to the kiosk. "See anything you want?"
-
"Cool. Let's go," said Zamy as she got up and headed towards the kiosk.
-
Zamy looked around and spotted a small kiosk in the distance. "Fancy a snack or a drink?"
-
"I know, i think I'll do it when I have some spare time. I woudln't want it all to eat into our day," said Zamy.
-
"Yeah. But come on, let's still try and make the most of our day."
-
"Well you never know when you'll need to note something down," replied Zamy as Zouge teleported back to her office.
-
"Yes. I've got a notebook with me," explained Zamy.
-
"I've got that sorted.. Thanks again Zouge," said Zamy.
-
"That's good. Unless there's anything else, I should get back to Zone Jail. And feel free to contact me if anything else important comes up. You might want to keep notes of the flashbacks and when they occur," said Zouge. ------ As Hope was working at her computer in the lab, she heard the distinct sound of Rouge's boots coming down the hallway, getting louder until she heard the door open. "Any word from Shadow?" asked Rouge. "Nope. Nothing at all." "Great," she replied sarcastically. "I just hope he gets back soon. Seeing how things are going recently, something big's probably gonna come up soon."
-
"No. In fact it's part of my job, so it's fine by me," said Zamy.
-
"Ok then. Well there's little that can be doen to coax flashbacks to occur, they just do it when something similar occurs. So I'd suggest you two stay together, which obviously isn't an issue."
-
"He said he wanted me to be the one to adopt him," finished Zamy. Zouge didn't look at all that surprised. "I see. That makes things clearer then. It seems you've grown an attachment to her, a secure one thankfully. And I'm guessing you had one with your mother as well, which is why you had a flashback with Zamy."
-
"I see. That definitely sounds like a flashback triggered by the surroundings. Now it could be that Zamy was replaced by your mother in this simply because of where she was and that she's a woman, but how do you feel about her? A friend?" asked Zouge.
-
"No, you're thinking of sympathy. Empathy is where you put yourself in someone else's position so to speak, sympathy is when you've actually experienced it," explained Zamy before turning to Zouge. "Thank you for coming." "No problem. Now Miles, Zamy said you just had a flashback. Can you remember what it was, and what you were doing before it happened?"
