"Thanks. It's what keeps me going."

"I've got a job to do, and I'm gonna get it done. Quitting doesn't help anything." Zamy teleported them back to Haven.

"Sure Melody. Ready when you are." ------ Hope looked at her phone when she heard it go off. She was torn between going to comfort her friend, and leaving Shadow. "Um... Shadow?" "Yes Hope?" "I might need to disappear for a little bit soon. I think something's happened with Melody." Shadow sighed over the radio. "I'd complain that you're not doing your job, but you're technically not even old enough to legally have a job like this in the first place. Ok, but if I get mauled by a demon down here it's your fault," he said, his tone indicating he was in reality fine with her leaving. "Thanks, I'm not leaving yet anyway." Hope then replied to the text, saying she'd be there when Melody asked for her.

"The latter seems appropriate in a manner of speaking."

"You can Melody. For all your sakes you have to. Curse that stupid magic. Why can't they just do things normally?"

"I know it's not fair, but hardly anything is. Just know you aren't going it alone "

Zamy sighed. "Well you see, you might all be fine with it now, but later jealousy will arise as you want more of Tikal's time and affection to yourselves. And that could obviously lead to a lot of animosity between you and Skye."

It isn't normal for a boy his age either, frankly. And him being ok with it doesn't ease my worries. The opposite in fact."

"It feels real because it's basically tricked you. Someone your age shouldn't be worrying about love. You've got your whole life ahead of you. And for you and Skye to be in a relationship with the same person, that is skirting some very dangerous lines."

"Yes I've heard of it. Look Melody, I know this might be hard to hear, but you don't really love her. Love isn't some forced, artificial construct. It takes time. What you're experiencing is similar to what Miles did to my head, except in your case it wasn't intentionally done to you and isn't malicious."

"What? Would you mind putting some context into it, that doesn't seem to make any sense. You've barely talked to each other as far as I can tell."

Zamy gave a dry laugh. "Trust me, I'm handling weird as we speak. Maybe that gives me some insight into your problem. I want to help Melody."

"That's a good idea. No problem, anything I can do to help. Now what is it you want to discuss?"

Zamy got a glass of water and handed it to Melody. "Thanks, Yeah, I need to get some decorating done. A few paintings, a poster, maybe a vase."

Zamy took hold of her and teleported them to her apartment. "Can I get you anything to drink or eat while you're here?"

"Ok. Just hang on amd I'll take you to my place."

"It's no trouble Melody. I'm fine to talk if you want to."

Zamy gave Melody a hug, worried about her. "Look... maybe we can sort something out. Please don't get upset. Is there anything else you want to talk about, this isn't like you. We can go somewhere quieter if you want. You can get a sneak peek of the apartment?"

"I know, but Ziona is my partner. If it goes ahead I'll barely have anyone to talk to my own age and I'll have to watch over a group of kids. I'm sorry."

"Thanks Harmony. Hi Melody. I jist needed to tell you the party's indefinitely postponed because of this incident, sorry. What were you doing with Skye and Tikal anyway?"

(OOC Oh. Sorry, I'm getting confused) "No idea. Harmony went to get them so she should be here any second with the pair."

"Hey Anna. Well Harmony's right there, but Skye and Melody are talking to Tikal somewhere. Really bad timing on their part frankly."

"Good point. Run along before I get vindictive," joked Zamy.

"Thanks Harmony, I owe you one. Well, more than one actually."
