"It's in my drawer. What do you reckon will happen when we zap it?"
-
Hope put her hand over a beaker on her dask and cast the enchantment spell, putting a small forcefield around it.
-
Don't be. It's a fact of life. I accepted it long ago.
-
I see. Forgive me if I don't so easily grow attached to people. I'm going to outlive enough friends as it is.
-
"Thanks. I'll try enchantment next."
-
*tapping foot impatiently* Who could get sentimental about being put in another dimension.
-
Hope laughed. "Could be the latter. Or just the fact that I'm not used to it."
-
Hope briefly saw an image of its location. "That was a tough one."
-
"I suppose I could do that," said Shadow as Hope handed him her pen. "Thanks Shadow." He chaos controlled to his room on the base, put the pen on his desk then returned to Hope, who then cast the spell and focused on the pen intensely.
-
"Not on the job, no," replied Shadow. Hope had a look through her book. "I could try divination next."
-
Hope smiled at Melody, as Shadow sat back in his chair, wondering how to pass the time now his mission was complete. "I've groen used to your link with each other. And I can read body language fairly well."
-
"I guess I could do that, good idea."
-
"I might be their most powerful spellcaster, but I'm also a teenage girl. I wouldn't want to undergo military training anyway. I think I just want to go outdoors for a bit more than I do now."
-
"It's doubtful. My skills make me far more useful here."
-
"Yeah, in a way. Just to experience it once," thought Hope.
-
"I know. Sorry Hope."
-
"No, not for field work. Support here as usual maybe," replied Shadow to Hope's disappointment.
-
A decent amount, but if I'm missing it's possible it could be frozen until I get back.
-
"Thank you. I didn't expect to do this well."
-
Hope smiled. "Thanks. It's a little loose, but not too much."
-
"Good thinking." Hope read the summoning spell and focused on the image of a witch's hat, which began to materialise on her head. "Hey, it worked! And summoning is purple."
-
"I know. It'll be interesting to find out."
-
Hope laughed. "I can arrange that."
-
"Thanks Melody. This should be really useful," said Hope happily as she took the book.
-
"That's probably for the best," said Hope. Shadow was pondering what this necromancy could do. The thought of literally raising the dead did not sit well with him.
